Another useful Tip For Newbies

The same questions are repeated in classrooms or in blogs over and over and year after year.

I am also directing members to the -Search for help here-window much too often.

Here is a golden rule for Newbies that should reduce this practice.

Before you ask a question go to classrooms on the appropriate topic and browse through the questions to see if your question or a similar one was asked before, and read the replies; there is a 95% percent chance you will find your answer.

By following this procedure you will also learn a lot more than you bargain for, and would most likely remember the answers to possible future questions.

If your question was so rare that you did not find the answer, your next option is to go to the -Search for helps here- window and type in your question and browse through the menu of posts and you should find your answer and a lot more as your curiosity gets the better of you.

If the golden rule fails, only then should you go ahead and post your question.

The golden rule can apply to all members, old and new.
