A Disheartening Observation

I have been doing my best to introduce friends and aquaintenaces to the WA platform; many of whom are struggling financially and would love to learn affiliate marketing, or rid themselves of a nine till five job.

The ones that have accepted the challenge could not afford it, or thought it was a quick fix.

The free membership is great if you are an IT expert.

But the majority just could not afford, and that seems to be true for many people.

It is amazing how many people all over the world are living hand to mouth-so to speak.

What is your experience?

While this is a sad situation, there are many who come back when their situation improves a bit.
This way of doing business is not a fit for everyone.
Those of us who can learn here are fortunate, and this is just another example of why.
Thanks for making me think of the blessing I have.
Sami

Sami you are so understanding, there are a couple of willing interested people I wished I could afford to help, but I too have my struggles, I feel sad when I see members leaving for financial reasons. The education alone is worth the effort.

I think this is a sad reflection of the world we live in Courtney. There are parts of the world that are well less off than others.

Derek

Derek the world news today of a possible recession is frightening, given the current situation, we have to put our best foot forward and pretend we are wearing blinders. Wishing a great future for all.

Pretty sad really.
I think a lot more people can afford it if they changed their priorities.
Living hand to mouth for many people is a subconscious comfort zone.

You think being poor is a comfort zone, and it's just a matter of changing priorities? What "priorities" should I change exactly that would suddenly make me able to afford more? Maybe give up my car, or food, or my apartment? As they say, walk a mile in my shoes before you tell me how to improve my life.

First of all I wasn't specifically talking to you or about you.

Secondly I am sorry to hear that you are struggling (I think we all are).

My point is that many of us who say we can't afford $49.00 will have coke, beer or wine in our fridge, a coffee at a cafe once a week, go to a movie every now and again etc.

If these little everyday necessities were reduced or eliminated then possibly those people could find the monthly subscription.

Or maybe they could sell something, write articles for others etc. to raise the funds.

We all have something to offer someone in exchange for money.

I have a 19 year old car that has done over 250,000 kilometres and would love to change it but hey it goes and a new car is not my priority.

I have made a decision a long time ago to leave the "Woe-is-me" club, take stock of what I have (such as my family, a roof over my head, basic food in my fridge - no beer by the way, no TV subscription etc.) and to move forward from here.

Sincerely wishing you all the best.

Lawrence

I wish that were true, but I know what I know with some, you may be right about priorities.

So far, I've had 9 friends/family join WA.

My mum got off to a good start with blogging but had to stop due to health and family issues, and moving home.

My brother then started a blog and did a post but also had to give up due to his depression and anxiety.

Which are valid reasons.

But as for the other 7 (colleagues, network marketing aquantances and a so-called family member lol), it was down to pure laziness.

I think they were expecting me to do the work for them. Especially the ones who just wanted websites.

You're just better off sticking with the WA training for referrals, in all honesty.

I admire your drive and expertise, i have tried hard with referrals, it's not easy, you are right, I need a refresher on the training, I am fortunate to have my own product, which because of its nature brings more success to the brick and mortar business than the online, but in truth it is all online.

Unfortunately, not everybody is in the right mindset. Society has formed us to depend on other companies to create jobs for us and as such, we are now so accustomed to working and getting paid instantly, in other words, trading time for money.

Many people who want to make side income will treat WA as a job, which they shouldn't.

But don't get discouraged. The right people will sign up. :)

Wishing you great success!

Thank you, I don't quite understand the middle line, To succeed with WA you have to invest the time. wishing all the patient folks great success.

Sorry, I meant that a job will pay you for the hours that you work, whereas the online bsiness is different becaue you haveto willing to work for free for a while.

So people shouldn't be treating this as a job because it isn't.. :)

You're absolutely right!

Yes, the monthly fee is usually an issue. I've been stressing that I have taken advantage of annual discounts and pay only $25/month which sounds much better - the cost of a dinner out. If the Black Friday special is offered again this year, I'm going to really advertise and push it.

Usually late November, during the Black Friday craze.

A very creative pitch, I encourage members to go premium, it's not just the savings, but the temptation to quit some way along the line looms big, it can be a boost to sty the course.

Courtney,

As most of your posts do, this one too, however brief it may be, it is rather deep and touches upon a very crucial point, affecting multiples of millions worldwide.

I have been repeating in many of my recent posts here calls for action to view our mission more like a ministry of sorts to assist both our WA members who are either burnt out or are about to throw in the towel as well as the non members worldwide.

The sad thing is, aside from my posts being as read or commented on as the typical falling tree is not heard by anyone [I do not care for an audience so long my message is intended to add value, everyone chooses what to read and what to post, within the WA guidelines we hope] is that everyone is still saying that they cannot find an audience, all the while most of those affected by various things in society are our grand audience whose pain points we need to address and help resolve.

I will give you a quick example of a newbie WA member who actually was seeing it the right way. While helping in chat, a newbie WA member asked opinions as to the domain name she should secure for a website to promote WA on. When asked for her selected niche, she said tat it was focused on minimum wage earners. At first, must admit , I was blind as were others too thinking that in that niche very few could afford WA's membership fees. A few seconds later, it donned upon me how brilliant it all was. I had then recalled from the Bible under Luke 5:31, that: Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

So there it was, right in front of me. A massive audience of low or minimum wage earners whose dreams to reach a better financial situation was the niche she had chosen. Would affordability be a isse for some? Surely, however, often desperation can be a motivating factor, for some.

The knowledge and the tools, from here o elsewhere re out there, but we need see our role as a ministry to share them with those in need of ou help, dn the end we will all be better off, in more than one way.

Blessings!

Blessings my friend, you re preaching Kyle's message- helping others. Sometimes I feel the painful sentiments, but bear it and move on. The roads are paved with potholes everywhere, we should play the game of the rugby and shun the potholes.

I had gotten my experience when I was searching online for an alternative to working twelve to twelve for about six days a week.

I heard about affiliate marketing from this guy on youtube called Jay Brown. Of course, I didn't believe in him all too well about how this all works but ever since I took the plunge over here I got some hope.

But to finish this comment up. There are some people that have hard times in life and the best thing you could do for them is at least let them know that this does exist.
As far as payments go I do agree with you.

I feel that the limited 19 dollars for a one month sign up is a little bit underdone and I think it should be done more times to bring in more faces for the future.

WA is doing its best and more than the competitors, work hard, be patient and we wish you great success as you travel along the WA pathway.Blessings.
