Where All Those Broadcasts Have Gone?

Patience is a virtue.

After publishing a new blog post in my wordpress blog this morning, I noticed there are no broadcasts coming in from AWeber and I wondered what went wrong.

I remember following all the steps taught by Jay in his webinar on how to set up blog broadcasts using RSS-Email system in AWeber, so I wondered why it won't work.

I checked on all the dummy emails I have, total of 6 email addresses, all confirmed opt-ins. None of the expected broadcasts ever arrive. Even the blog post I published 2 days ago, it can't be seen.

Sensing something is wrong, I composed a new blog post indicating it is a test post, then followed by a one-liner post body, and hit publish.

After that, I hurried to check through the 6 email addresses I have for testing, and to my disappointment, the expected broadcast didn't arrive again!

That one test blog post was followed by three (3) more, a sign that I was getting desperate or disappointed.

In my mind, I don't care if my random blog visitors see these 4-consecutive nonsense posts, all I wanna do is probe where the line is broken.

And again, no broadcasts coming in!

I took a deep breath, turn off my PC and took my lunch.

"Maybe, when I'm finished with this meal, I will check it again and I expect there will be new broadcasts, or else..."

(I remember posting here articles complaining about GetResponse)

But I hold myself and pondered, "Am I going to blog negatively again, and this time it will be against AWeber?" Oh, no!

When I turned my PC and checked, I was really disappointed and that feeling is now mounting high! Still no broadcasts. I wondered how it can go that way, when I checked the option for the broadcasts to be sent immediately after publishing?

That pushed me to contact AWeber's technical support.

"Hey, what's going on? My broadcasts seem like they're not sending?"

After sending the message, I turned my PC off again and prepared a coffee.

When I returned and checked again, I saw the broadcasts coming in like waves!

What a fool I've been. I should have waited as I know there can be some delays with these systems. And it happened.

Indeed, patience is a virtue.

Cheers,

Indeed.

I saw a quote recently that said "A man who masters patience, masters everything else" Not sure who said it but I like nonetheless. :)

~Mark

Thanks for the quote. After several returns here and re-reading this quote, I realized how profound this lesson here. I'm loving that quote, Mark! :)

Yes for sometimes we are all just like children, without patience.

Hey, I an very impatient myself and sometimes I have to step back and take a deep breath.

Good solution you gave, buddy! Stepping back, taking a deep breath, and sipping coffee. Thumbs up for that! :)

Hey Gomer,

Good for you. I have also heard, "Good things happen to
people who wait and will be rewarded" and you certainly have.

Cheers,
Ken

Thank you.
Ken

Thanks.

Good post, Gomer. I like you are a man of little patience :-) I am glad that you seem to have solved your problem. Just needed a little time and some patience!

Wayne

Good post I enjoyed reading it. Sometimes we just have to be patient on a lot of things. In this business, we all have to be patient and things will work out and come together. Best wishes in your business endeavors with WA.

Could there be a timer in the settings that is programmed to delay your broadcast? I know you can schedule them so maybe yours has a schedule. I will have to watch that training. Thanks for sharing.

That got me a little worried because, I have checked the option that lets the system send the broadcast immediately after the post have been published, and yet, no post has ever arrived to my test email addresses.

But then, it turned out that there were just delays. Or, should we say, cut off time for sending emails with AWeber. I think I saw in there, before or after 9:00 AM in server's time. But I am really not sure of that.

Anyway, I'm glad it's been sorted out.

I'm glad things turned out well, but sorry you worried.
Sheila

I can imagine how you feel and what you have gone through in waiting. Indeed patience is easier spoken than done, am one of those people who tell others to be patient but when it comes to me, it's another story all together.

I will also need to check on Jay's training on AWeber I missed that. I hope everything is going well now.

Wishing you all the best

Paul.

Yes, wonderful training. Check it out, and I'm sure you will find it really useful if email marketing is in your future plan or something you'd like to do.

I’ve done a similar thing. Sometimes, panic sets in and patience is not a virtue I possess either.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

I understand you with that. And that's the correct description, panic. lol
