We Are Endowed With Two Eyes, Two Ears, One Mouth, But.
...but unfortunately, with TWO HANDS!!?
(And that's where the problem lies sometimes)
I'm talking about learning attitude.
I remember, in the training that I have attended, it was emphasized that a person LEARN MORE by watching and listening, than talking.
That probably is the reason why we are endowed with two eyes, two ears, and just one mouth... by our Beloved Creator.
Thinking of my membership in Wealthy Affiliate, I still feel overwhelmed by this idea of maintaining my rank as an Ambassador.
I even joked with a fellow member here who's in Top 50 if we can swap ranks, so I can focus more on growing my online business.
Oftentimes, I am tempted to procrastinate doing what really matters to my business because, the joy of chatting, posting and helping others with their question gets in the way.
Honestly, it is easy to just type and type on my keyboard than continue reading the lessons here.
(No time for the lessons. I'm busy blogging here in WA discussions)
The temptation is always ticking. The temptation to type and type in Live Chat, in discussions, and everywhere here.
"OMG, my WA rank is going down, I have to type in more blog posts here!" (lol)
And that's where the problem lies...
We are endowed with two eyes, two years, one mouth...
...but with TWO HANDS!!! ... OMG.
(I am afraid my typing speed in WA discussions is now FASTER than the rate my brain digest lessons in here... Can anyone help me stop typing?)

I have to bring these two hands in the SiteComment/SiteContent and type in more content there!!!
And I trust that bringing these two hands in there will bring more good to the ecosystem. More content, more Google rankings, more comments, more Google rankings, and so on...

I'm going to be that tedious person who messes with your analogy by explaining that humans have two eyes and two ears to enable stereoscopic vision for depth perception, as well as stereo hearing and sonolocation. :)
But by the by... Don't begrudge people their interactions. Even when they appear to be talking about nothing, they are creating valuable interpersonal connections that can later be utilised for negotiating work, and other more serious topics.
If you feel that participatung in such discussions robs you of time and energy for your work, don't feel guilty about trading one off for the other. But I have the feeling that for some people on this site, it's not an issue and they have as much energy for WA forums as they do for their blog projects!

Wow!! That's a bit weird, but I'd like to see the same thing to happen here. I'd like to see my keyboard outrun my hands too! Haha :)
I feel the exact same way! It's like a tug of war, being pulled in two different directions! I learned my lesson last night when I spent all night within the community, only to find out today that none of my comments showed up! Needless to say that my rank stayed the same.
I'm here again, however, I'm going to go work on one of my sites now! Keep up the great work!!!!!
Hi Coach, it is true as I'm new to this I can get caught up reading blogs adding friends. But it's also very informative and encouraging and it has help me Quite a bit. I like what you say about James 1:19 it is true, Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak. That is great wisdom from Gods word!

Yep! I see my rank dropping and I panic but then I remember my WA rank isn't improving my rankings. So I write a to-do list everyday and ensure that I focus on my website but allow myself to come in here and vent, chat, help etc. It's about balance and not stressing so much about the WA rank.
