I'm as content as a cat napping in sunbeams!
Sunday afternoons are a great time to kick back, relax and ponder. It's a beautiful, sunny afternoon here in San Antonio. Jack is figuring out how to ride his bike...in the house (Thank goodness for open floor plans!) Caryn is visitingand bringing food to new parents who just welcomed their first baby girl yesterday. Mike is hoping there is still enough hot water for his shower (not likely - Kellie took one earlier!) Everything here is pretty much as perfect as it gets. I'm sure there's something, but it would be awfully greedy and presumptuous.
My first children's book is safely sitting with an illustrator friend of mine. I hope to have it ready enough to shop to publishers by the end of the year, if inspiration comes quickly to my artist friend. I'm so looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I would have never imagined that this would be part of my journey here in WA! Even if it doesn't get picked up by a publisher, I will still always have it. But I have a good feeling that it will actually become real.
Things here are taking a turn for the better.
It's time for
this train to leave the station! Ok, well past time, but that's not the point! Several articles are written and scheduled to post. Time to recommit to 3+ articles per week. Progress is being made on the training with the intent to finish by the end of the month.
The next 3 niches are on the table with story boards. I figure it will be much easier to progress with multiple sites once I have more than just a clue - so many fewer mistakes to make.
I so love that this is a learn it once, apply it infinitely kind of concept. I can certainly invest the time to learn it right.
Sometimes I feel like I'm in cross between finding
myself in Alice in Wonderland, Neverland, Oz, Disney Land or Willy Wonka's amazing candy factory.
Nope! It's better! It's the Wonderful World of WA! It's amazing beyond imagination. I'm finding fantastic friends to join me on my journey. Sometimes it's scary as hell. I'm doing and learning things that I never thought I would, let alone could. I'm finding there's more to me than I first thought. I bet you're feeling all of this too! And how cool is that?!
Time to get back to work!

Wonderful post, Christine! Congrats on your children's book--hope it does really well for you. Sounds like you're also getting a lot done with your online business as well! Thanks for sharing, Christine. With the website, you are your own publisher. Great that you are doing things you never thought you would do. That is progress for you and also for all of us. I have never written so much in my life. I now have 69 post here, not including my website. Just like you, I am learning new skills too. Maybe I will be confident enough to add "author" to my profile one day...
