Plan Q to the nth degree

Life - it never goes according to plan!

Plan A: Work on my WA site, have a happy family, make a fantastic living and give my family an amazing lifestyle, freedom, and a legacy.

Plan B: Not Plan A.

Plan C: Plan? Who's she kidding?!

Plan D: Plan?! I don't need no stinkin' plan!

Reality is such a b*%&$!

I'm hanging out, writing, reading, listening

to Pandora this afternoon and am caught by the number

of posts by our colleagues and friends whose lives have taken a dramatic and unexpected turn over the past month.

Unexpected passings, abusive relationships, just gotta make ends meet, job loss, illness, unanticipated break-ups, fires, helecopter crashes.

And happy things as well, new babies, engagements, marriages, major milestones.

There's a whole lot of stuff going on within our WA family!

Life is truly what happens when you're busy doing other things.

I guess it's supposed to be that way. We turn the

pages of our lives, day by day, not knowing what is on the next page, next chapter, or how the story ends.

I have to believe that God is writing the chapters of my life and it's up to me to open my heart to the message and the guidance.

I know it will turn out amazingly well, in ways I can't even begin to imagine.

I have to believe...

that God led me here to the wonderful world of WA.

It has brought too much good into my life to be anything less than Grace and serendipity.

My friends, the knowledge and skills I've gained, the personal growth, and the confidence in myself. That, alone is worth any cost and has been the best investment I could have made. You seriously have no idea how much the good words and encouragement have meant!

I truly did not realize where I was at the time - and am now miles from there (thankfully!). I have found a peace that I haven't known in a very long time.

Back in the day

A hypnotist friend of mine, Tom DeLuca, taught

me a way to get a feel for where I was in my life. It's just a simple visualization technique where I am in a canoe paddling down a river - the river of my life.

By closing my eyes, completely calming myself and focusing on my breathing - sort of a self-hypnosis technique, it's amazing what you can see.

Then, in my mind, look at what's going on around me on my river. For the longest time, I was in class 5 rapids either just having gone over or about to go over a huge water fall.

Reading so many of the posts today, I'm getting a sense that I've not been alone. And then Pandora came on with this...

Run River, Run - Loggins & Messina

If you've been thinkin' you were all that

you've got
Then don't feel alone anymore

'Cause when we're together then you've got a lot

'Cause I am the river and you are the shore

And it goes on and on, watching the river run

Further and further from things that we've done

Leaving them one by one

And we have just begun, watching the river run

Listening and learning and yearning to run, river, run

We are together

in this adventure. We may be hundreds and

thousands of miles apart geographically.

We may not speak the same language.

We may not worship the same.

But we are one community, one family, one river. You are not alone!

Whether you're frustrated with the intricacies and ideosyncracies of Google, the internet, building a web site, traffic, writing, monetizing your site - you are not alone!

Whether life is throwing you hard balls, snowballs with rock in them, or kisses, you're not alone.

Whether you're the windshield or the bug, you are not alone!

24 / 7/ 365

Regardless of the weather, time of day, time of night, there is ALWAYS a couple hundred people hanging out here. Kind of crazy when you think about it!

But you are NEVER, ever alone here! We are here with hugs and hurrahs!

Our wonderful world of WA is always open for business!

As James Taylor so wonderfully sang, 'Winter, spring, summer or fall, all you have to do is call. You've got a friend."

So grab a cup of something and hang out with the people who get it!

Here's to finding peace of mind, to achieving our goals, and the lives we deserve!

Cheers!

Christine

Awesome post. Tks for the reminder I am not alone in this. Have been feeling kinda down lately. Having a pity party mixed with fear and anger as things aren’t happening in the morning quick enough.
Don’t like feeling that way.
They are all happening just as they should and there is nothing big going on here. All is well. I am well.
Tks Christine.

Tina

Just had a full page, Christine, and my spare cell, died.
In a nutshell, thanks for the lovely trip.
I've had so many sprinkles to my Plan B, I'm going to share short posts. Pictures are needed so one per post, I should be able to handle that!
Thanks, again... James Taylor, "Fire and Rain" ...friend took her life at 17, when I was 19... she left me this song in her Good-bye letter. This reminds of WHY I'm doing what I do.
Let me know next ride!! You really don't want me steering, however!! LOL
Barb

Good morning, Barb! Thanks for sharing your day with me. Sad to hear of the loss of your friend. It's never easy. Run with the why and keep your friend in your heart.

Christine

These memories fuel my passion, Christine. I'm always working with others to help better them, and in the process, I grow as well!
Really, enjoyed this river ride.

Yes having the knowledge you are able to call upon a friend to help you through is very invaluable, a friend in need is a friend indeed. It is amazing how close one can get to someone without really meeting them in person. Ah well! I get by with a lil help from my friends...;)

Kind of crazy how this world of our works! I'm closer here with people I know and have never met, than some people I've worked with for years and don't really know. Thanks for sharing your day with me. It's always great to hear from you.

Christine

Hi Christine, your most welcome. ;) Its really strange but somehow wonderful at the same time isn't it. I reflect because it is meant to be the exact opposite as you say!. Having said all that it's a big community and human frailties still exist at least not showing in all but the very rare cases here which is a bonus.
Perhaps that is the secret people thrown together who practically are in constant contact daily so only natural to have such a close affinity build.

Always a pleasure to hear back from you ;)
Enjoy your day!
Rami.

Indeed it is nice when things are good to have friends here at WA congratulate us and cheer us on....and when things are not so good those same friends reach out with their kind words and thoughts
This community is rare indeed
Thanks for a well said Post
TIM

I appreciate your checking in, Tim! It's nice to start my morning with you! Thanks for dropping a note. Hope your day is amazing!

Hi Christine!

Plans that go awry, I think, are the main reason I have such a hard time creating goals. "Life" is always happening and a goal post either has to be moved or changed out completely for another!

My husband's philosophy is one I'm trying to adopt to help deal with these situations - Don't beat yourself up if you don't achieve a particular goal, just do what you can. Doing something is always better than nothing at all!

I too subscribe to Pandora and it is amazing how the right song can shift my mood from gloom to optimism!

Absolutely agree! I appreciate your taking time to read my humble musings and dropping a note. It's always great to hear from you! Christine
