It's not what happens to you.

It's how you handle it.

Some times you get not just a few lemons tossed at you, y

ou get the whole tree of 'em!

And they aren't always ripe.

And they hurt when they knock you on the noggin.

And they're sour.

And you can only handle so many lemons!

Lemonade, lemon miringue pie, lemon curd, slices of lemon for tea, and maybe lemon zest.

After that, it's just yet another lemon to have to deal with.

Sweet Moses, enough lemons!

You've had all the lemons you can handle, yet they keep coming!

Sometimes, life just seems to go that way.

Sometimes, our experiences in WA seem to go that way.

You work and work, write and write. Yet you still feel li

ke you're getting nowhere. Things don't work quite the way they are supposed to.

And the next person that looks at you and says

'Oh! That's easy! You just ...." you may just explode!

Take a deep breath. You'll get through this!

Sometimes, the answer is staring you right in the face and you're soooooo close to the solutiion with the next key stroke.

You just can't see it.

Take a break. Take a walk.

Get some fresh air.

Go grab a shower.

Turn on some really nice relaxing music.

Close your eyes. Take a nap.

Pet your cat or play with the puppies.

Go do whatever helps you relax for a

good 15 minutes.

The really weird thing is that your mind will continue to work while you take your body away from the issue.

Then take another deep breath and come back to it.

Give it another whirl.

The odds are that you'll make progress this time around.

Sometimes it just takes fresh eyes, and a relaxed mind to see things and figure them out.

A relaxed mind is open.

It's open to seeing possibilities and ways.

A relaxed mind looks at a challenge and asks what can i do to make this happen. It's more willing to say 'let's try this.' and to exploring options.

A stressed mind is not open!

A stressed mind focuses on the problem instead of solutions. A stressed mind looks inward.

Instead of asking 'what can I do', a stressed out mind says 'why can't I get this?!' A stressed out mind starts berating you for not being able to solve the problem immediately.

A STRESSED MIND IS NOT HELPFUL!!

You can do this!

You are more than up to the challenge!

You have everything you need both within yourself and through this platform and the community.

We are all here for you!

Visualize how great it will feel to get past this speed bump. Your train is not derailing! It's just a bump in the road.

So....

Who's ready for some lemonade?!

Here's hoping you have a lemon-free weekend!

Cheers!

Christine

Hi Christine, thank you for you great blogpost, You are a good writer. Just an honest question; How do you, posting this, make money. I just try to understand the system. i post on my website with affiliate partners, but I hear people saying they make money by making these blog and I always wonder, how do you make money with this? Is getting more followers on this platform make you more? So Chiristine, do you have a website? love to see it and understand,

Not Christine but I'll chime in. People can find the content you've written at WA. That said I think that most people who blog here are doing it for the community and outreach. They make actual money on their websites through affiliate offers.

Thanks @Jukkah, so people just like to share, to connect, to learn? also great of course. So to see where they make money with, I should go to their website, right? well thanks, it is a journey for me, really interesting!

As Jukkah explained, I don't make money on my WA posts directly. I write here for practice, relaxation and enjoyment. I truly enjoy my friends on this side of the platform. Plus I learn a great deal from the posts others share. My site is still fairly new. Haven't made a dime...yet, but it will come.

Great explanation, Jukkah! Thanks for sharing. Christine

I'll take a glass of that lemonade.

I have found that when I have a problem that I can't solve, the best time to do it is right after I go to bed. I sometimes have an hour or two before going to sleep, and find that I do my clearest thinking then. There are not the millions of distractions that seem to hit when we are awake. My head has time to relax and consider my problem.

That works! I do my best stuff in the middle of the night when it comes to working through challenges. Everybody is asleep and it's super quiet...except for the neighbor's rooster that seems to crow 24/7! Have a great weekend! Thanks for spending part of your weekend with me!

Christine

Hey I think I will have to hop over for a mug of lemonade while we chat about the ups and downs of the week 🤔 makes me thirsty for a glassful right now 😄 thanks for the encouragement it helps me keep my chin up ..

Glad to help do what I can! A glass of fresh lemonade is always a great pick-me-up! And it's great revenge on those pesky lemons that keep hitting us on the head! Thanks for sharing part of your weekend with me! Christine

Even Though I've had a whole lemon trees worth recently I'll go with the relaxed mind option thank you!! there isn't a problem that can't be solved. It may take longer to fix it sometimes as there is an old adage that says, 'it takes as much time to get out of a problem as it took you to get into it' so I'm not a believer in walking away from it as doing that is going to take longer to fix it!!

Trust your enjoying the weekend Christine!! ;)

A tree's worth of lemons is never fun, but if you can hang through it, you usually come out the other side stronger. Hope things have settled down. Thanks for checking in and spending some time with me today. Hugs from San Antonio! Christine

Hi,
Yes thank you have stuck at it for a week, new laptop finally delivered last Friday and submitted an article on Saturday and Google indexed immediately as it was doing prior to the two week lapse of no submissions, which was the biggest concern..nearly there as have cleared the mountain of back log by doing two weeks work in a week...; lols.

Your most welcome even a mountain wont stop me doing that Christine!! but you know that by now!! ;)
