I hope this finds everybody well and managing as best you can where you are. I think we can agree that these are extraordinary times. And I think we can agree that our world will likely be quite difference once this situation resolves, as it will.

In the meantime, we are truly in chaos; trying to figure out what is happening, how to stay well and keep our families safe. Many are facing the sudden and unexpected loss of jobs across many sectors. There are so many things we have all taken for granted and appreciate so very much more now. It is interesting how our priorities have changed so significantly and so quickly! But we can't just crawl into bed and pull the covers over our head!

I'm not sure if it's a line from M*A*S*H (the movie) or Kelly's Heros, but 'in chaos there is opportunity." And we are perfectly situated to make the most of this opportunity through WA.

I don't mean in a manner of taking advantage of people or exploiting the situation or people's emotions or fears in the midst of all of this. I mean as being able to be of service and assistance as we all face this situation.

What help can we provide?

What information do people need to know to calm their fears?

How can parents keep the little ones stuck at home entertained?

How can parents help their school-aged kids keep engaged in the learning process?

Families are spending more time at home than they may be used to.

People who don't generally cook may be in the situation that they are having to do so. Who doesn't need a new recipe after so many nights of chicken?

People who are usually quite social and used to being out and about are having to be at home. How do you battle cabin-fever?

I'm sure you can come up with many more ways to lend help in some manner.

Hopefully, this is all over sooner than later and you come through these challenging times in good shape.

Stay well, from San Antonio!

Christine

UGH, don't remind me. I HATE cooking but I'm having to do it. My kitchen doesn't know WHAT to think. It's just not used to seeing me. lol. However, I'm not getting sick of chicken because you can't find any. Beef yes, chicken no. Well, I take that back, I could buy gizzards or weird lookin' chicken feet ---- ummmm, NO for me!!

I'm trying to help my daughter through this sending her stuff for the kiddsos AND I'm now making masks for our local hospital so I feel like I'm doing my part.

Stay safe.

Yes, agreed. :) Marc

Thanks for taking time to read today's post and drop a note. It's always great to hear from you! Christine

Anything that keeps people occupied and involved is good Christine.
Right now it’s a novelty for the children to be off school but if parks and beaches become off limits it will not be easy.
There are so many idiots that think new rules to keep people safe don’t apply to them, such sad individuals.

There will, sadly, be some level of natural selection just because some people are so short-sighted. Grateful that so many zoos, museums and educational platforms are opening up on line for the kids. It will help a great deal. Thanks for checking in. Christine

Hi Christine.Everybody has different circumstances. I think being calm and responding in stead of reacting is No.1 position. That will ensure that each next step is the right one.
Have a great day.
Stephen.

It's just a human reaction to experience fear as a first response in this type of situation,. But it's not helpful to stay there. Taking action and precautions necessary for ourselves, our families and our friends will take us much further towards being safe. Thanks for checking in, Stephen! Stay well! Christine

yes, I agree with you!
we need to be the helpers
because what we all are facing
will put many into a psychological panicking shock,
which brings fear, uncertainty, and panic.

Is certain that now is the time to be stronger than ever
and show to others the ways to go true to "the happening!"
it's hard but we can make it.

have a good day

Thanks for taking time to read this evening's post. What's going on is pretty scary. We can be part of the problem or part of the solution. I would rather be part of the solution. We'll get through this together! Thanks for sharing. Christine

yes, solution
I'm in!

take care

Pietro
