Oh, the wonderful world of WA!
Such an extraordinary learning community. So much knowledge. So much commeraderie. Like minds. Good hearts. Friends. Business partners. Mentors. And the key to a world that many of us didn't even know how to begin to tap into.
If you want to start and build a business, you have to make an investment.
Wether it's time or money - usually both - nobody gets a free ride! And WA is no different. I truly wish I knew last September what I know now! So many rookie mistakes. So much time lost. But ya don't know what ya don't know! (yeah, I know - my favorite saying) I just mean forgive yourself and be patient. You will know much more in a year than you do now - and that applies for the folks just starting out as well as to the folks who've been here a while.
Times are tough for many right now. It's not likely to get better any time soon.
Now is absolutely the time to make the investment in yourself, your business and your future. If you look at WA as an expense...it's time to make a shift in your thinking. WA is an investment in your business and your future. If not now, when? It's a tax deductible expense!! Invest in your training, your future.
You're never done learning.
One of my favorite sayings is 'You're either green and growing or you're ripe and rotten.' I think it was Ray Kroc, who said it. But he's right. Continuous learning has nothing to do with age. I just turned 60. Holy crap! Just writing that is a bit hard. What is that supposed to mean? I don't know what 60 is supposed to feel like. Other than a bit more silver in my hair than this time last year. I'm nowhere near done yet. And every day I learn more about what I don't know that I don't know.
My reading list has grown exponentially. I generally read a book a month. Trying to step that up. So much to learn and, having hit 60, realized that I have a lot to do in a shorter time to make it happen. Damn! So wish I knew what I know now at 20!!
I'm still investing in myself and my business
And now, more than ever! Within the past 8 months, I don't think anybody's world is the same. We've all been seriously rocked by Covid. And yes, we're all pretty much sick of hearing about it. But what a heck of a wake up call! Industries have simply vanished in the blink of an eye. Jobs lost - and created. Truly nothing is the same as it was on January 1.
Now is absolutely the best time to double down with your involvement and investment in WA. Learn something that transcends the 9-5 world that we know can be gone in a moment due to no fault of our own and to take you to the next level that can withstand even the biggest whatever the heck may come up next.
My first year will be here at the end of September. And yes, I will be continuing my annual membership. No, I'm not where I want to be yet. I'm always reaching further. But the returns on this investment are infinite!! And the relationships I've created - priceless.

So right on so many counts. Was reading just this morning on the new projections from the IRS a third of the working population in the US have lost their jobs (if not handled right this could take 50%) and they are having to revise their already reduced previous projections again.
This is not a recession but a gargantuan depression the biggest in history!
That age (same as mine) is just a figure it has not stopped or hindered you in any way hence the saying you are only as old as you feel and you never stop learning, a wise counsel advised in my corporate days the day you stop learning should be the day you have left this mortal coil.
So happy to see your wise counsel in print again.

It is up to you you can make it. The larger the inspiration and taking action the better the result. If we do our best and it's still not coming, we need to do even more. quitting is not an option. Success is waiting and the only option. It is up to us. I know you are a winner. Florentino

Every day is a learning day. Another of my many aphorisms that my kids used to laugh at as they rolled their eyes. Now-a-days though, they see the wisdom behind the words. Turning 60 was a turning point for me. I learned that all I had learned through the years made me hunger for learning. WA has given me so much more than I dreamed of Christine.
