Like how to create a sig file or an address book? Or is it a what you see is what you get?

Thanks and Have a Great Day!

Hey Chuck,

What email software are you using to forward your domain email addresses to?

If you use gmail, then you can setup your domain email to be used properly inside your gmail account. Here's a video to show you how: Once you have done that, you can easily setup a signature. Here are some informative Google pages to help you:
https://support.google.com/a/answer/176652?hl=en

https://support.google.com/mail/answer/8395?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform=Desktop

Google searching for how to setup an address book you can find more help from Google.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank You!

The purpose of the email for your domain name is to give your website visitors a place to contact your business. It is not meant to be a management of your contact list.

So you set it up and what you see is what you get.

Resource

That's what you see inside your webmail.

If limited you may want to do a forward instead.

Thanks Abie,
I have domain specific emails set up....was hoping I could do more with them,

Sure, I check settings I have included a screenshot.

Is there any training on the included email accounts?

Core “Business Start Up” Training

The Wealthy Affiliate Platform
Updated

I remember reading awhile back that the training was going to be updated when all of this new stuff was introduced. I would like to start my training over and I am waiting for

Congrats on going Premium+ Chuck! Was there something specific about the training which was not updated when you went through it? It depends on when you last did it, but it's frequently updated.

Of course, now there's the whole new layout for Wealthy Affiliate, so if you start right now, the training modules will probably reflect the old layout still. I'm not sure how fast Kyle's getting new videos up. The functions of Wealthy Affiliate are still the same, but now the menu is on top, so you may have to experiment navigating to find certain things.

Don't be afraid to ask if you can't find something!

Hello Nathaniell,
Nothing specific at all. Honestly I have been inactive for the last couple of months and it has been awhile since I looked at the training. I know when I was going through it some of the videos were out of date and didn't apply to some things (No I don't have specifics and yes I know the way everything changes it would be just about impossible to keep up.) I do remember reading something from Kyle awhile going saying the training was going to be updated and was just wondering what the time frame on that was. It does look like that has started to happen.
Thanks and Have a Great Day!
-Chuck

I know with the new look of WA a bunch of stuff was updated. Hopefully the Google+ training is finally gone LOL. There will always be a couple things which are "out of date" just because platforms update their stuff every couple of months, so it's hard to keep up with exactly everything.

The main thing to look at is if the processes still work, e.g. WordPress from 6 years ago and WordPress from today work pretty much the same.

If there's something you find that's outdated though, definitely let Kyle know. He's always open to updated and remaking stuff when it's no longer relevant.

I know ...
Training is being updated as we go along.

hey hi Chuck ...

Kyle has been updating the training on a rolling basis ...

suggest you get rolling whenever you'd like to get learning and building on your on line biz ....

all the best ... :)

Hey Chuck,

Kyle has been updating the training all along. So, if you wish to take the training over again, go ahead now.

Am sure you'll find some lessons have been updated since you went through the Online Entrepreneur Certification.

There are brand new lessons available for WA members who sign up for the Premium Plus.

Thank You...I have upgraded to Premium Plus

Well done, Chuck--good to see you back!

Jeff

Excellent, then click on "Classes" in the top navigation or menu bar, to find the NEW PP+ classes Chuck.

Hello All,

I am starting to get pretty consistent with publishing 1000+ word count posts twice a week. My question for you...Will adding shorter word count posts hurt me

Low word count posts won't "hurt" your site, but it might not help you. If you're publishing just 500 words on a topic, the topic needs to either be expanded into something larger (include more relevant information), or it should be merged into another topic.

For most topics, you should be able to get at least 1000 words. In fact, I find it hard to write less than 1k on a topic.

I have a page on my travel site that ranks well with about 600 words that ranks in top 10 for over a dozen search terms with over 1000 such volume per month.

If the keyword competition is low you will still rank on Google. The higher the competition, the more comprehensive your writing needs to be.

Chris

I read in another post that having shorter posts won't hurt, and actually throwing in some shorter posts throughout your site shows flexibility in natural writing versus a rigid 1,000 words that have been forced.

Like others on here have said, as long as the writing is of good quality, the word count should not hurt.

I think as long as your adding word count posts even just a little bit you add up,It will give you credits all the time. And it will really take effect .

Hi Chuck
I don't know the answer for sure but I would be tempted to consider writing a single after action post collating them all together under separate headings and then link to each one separately using the "a" tag. I have a book review post which brings together different themes and then short reviews of each book with Amazon affiliate links. That way I keep all the affiliate links in one post and out of the other posts. The key point is being able to link to anywhere in that post directly from another post.
But as I say someone else may have a better answer on your main question.
Best regards
Andy

Hello and Good Day to All!

Does paid advertising help your rank in google? So if I buy traffic for my site(legitimate, not bots) will it increase my google ranking? I am

Supposedly not - there's no evidence of that, but I secretly think so. Point being, I wouldn't use it as a traffic growth strategy!

Paid ads can get expensive, so if you'er doing paid ads make sure to keep an eye on your budget and your conversions!

Good morning Chuck & happy Friday!

Paid advertising does NOT help your rank in Google or any other search engine organically. In fact...

Although paid advertising gives your websites EXPOSURE, it doesn't necessarily even guarantee you traffic--unless your ad copy is relevant to the keywords/search terms that you're paying for. And if your site content is relevant to the information that your site visitors are searching for, chances are they'll CLICK on your paid ad links & stay on your sites for a while; plus they might even buy whatever you're selling while they're there or later on if you capture their contact info and follow up with them periodically. So...

No matter how you attract visitors to your websites, the key to keeping them there long enough to make it lucrative for you is RELEVANCY, which combined with your diligent SEO efforts should improve your search engine rank over time, but there is no direct correlation between your organic search engine ranking & your paid advertising spending efforts.

Cheers!
Charles

Well said Charles. thanks for the explanation and clarity.

So I finished lesson one in the training and I tried to blog about it but I couldn't because of the 1 blog a day limit imposed on new members. I just tried to find it and can't

Hope you find it. Your attitude about just writing another one is great.

Thank You,
I was able to find it with Rika's help.

If you wrote it here on WA using Site Builder, and saved your writing, then it should be posted on your actual website. You can access your website directly to see if it's there. (PS., you can also access your website directly to write as many blogs as you want in a day, there's no limit.) Just go to the WA menu, select "Websites", then on the right, you should see your site listed. Select "Log In", then "Login Now" and it will take you to your website's Dashboard. Under "Posts" (see the left-hand menu items), you should see every post you have posted to the web.

Thanks Don,
I was going to ask if it was ok to start blogging on my website before I have completed the training?

I would get a bit further with the training first because that will help with the blogging.

Thanks,
That's what I thought.

You will find as you go along that Kyle will encourage you to create and post a post/article as part of the tick box exercise at the end of certain modules.

It doesn't do any harm to publish articles/posts to your site as you go along because it gets you into the rythm of doing so, but what you'll find is that the deeper you go into the training and the more you learn, the more you'll want to revisit those earlier posts and implement elements of the training as and when you learn them.

That way you've got posts already done and new skills to improve them rather than waiting and waiting and waiting until you've completed the training and all you've got is an empty site.

Crack on and post I say Chuck!

Mark

Thanks Mark,
A lot of what I will be posting about will be 1st hand experiences and it will b easier for me to write about soon after it happens rather than waiting.
-Chuck

There's really nothing wrong with blogging as you go if you're working directly in WordPress. You can always save something as a DRAFT there - it's all saved nice and tidy, and when you're ready to go live, you can hit PUBLISH. Preserve the inspiration while you have it.

Great Tip - Thanks

Striking while the iron's hot sounds good to me Chuck!
Mark

Go to "My Blog" under your profile. Click on "My Blog" and then on "Create a new blog" under your profile image.

At the top, you will see "Drafts". If it's not there you have to create another.

Thanks Rika, You allowed me to find it..lol

My pleasure Chuck:)

Hi - it won't post automatically, but it should be under "drafts"

Thank You Diane!
