It is difficult to stay the course

So as I sit here in front of my laptop trying to figure out what is next, I have to ask.... How do you do it?

Tuesday will mark 2 weeks that I have been a Wealthy Affiliate member and I have a 191 people in my network. I am not sure if that is a good number or not and to be honest...not my top priority either.

I ask, How do you with a huge network stay the course? Every time I open my email there are a ton of notifications about new blogs. I try to read them all and then I get nothing else done...no training, no website building, no research, etc. How do you cope? Do you ignore the emails? Have them re-directed? I kind of like them coming in, because there is a lot of good information out there.

I feel guilty if I don't read and respond to all of them and honestly I don't. I glance at them and read the ones that grab my attention. I do hit the like button on all of them.

I have been all over the place today and have accomplished nothing but put some pictures up on my pages.

OK, I am off to do some keywords research for my next page post.

Have a Great Day!

-Chuck

I agree with your post as I am doing the same as well. What are the priority task each day that we need to understand to get our daily task done. I do not seem to have time to do almost everything. Need some clarification here.
Thank you for raising it.
Thank you and a top day to you.
Cheers.

It's a common occurrence Chuck, overload, but THE most important thing is training and website set up so if you're getting constantly sidetracked then I'd temporaily ignore all those notification emails apart from ones where you might have asked a question about the module you're studying.

Honestly, the likes, comments, blogs etc can all wait, focus on the training and your site and it should all be a little clearer for you.

Good luck

At the beginning we are all overwhelmed by all the attractions on the platform and all the courses. But after a few weeks a sort of routine takes hold, and like all of us, you will put your work before the pleasure of sharing with others. It's not a big deal if at the beginning you put aside the social network part and focus on your work. We are all there for different reasons if yours is work and nothing but work, then don't hesitate to put aside what you don't consider important for you at the moment.

My schedule is planned that I run through at first, separating them from each other, like questions, blog updates, and networking notifications.

Then I go about responding to people that have connected with me. After that, I welcome new members and new Premium members.

The 2 last tasks I do is reading a couple of blogs and then trying to answer a couple of questions.

The whole process takes about 30 to 45 minutes for me.

After that, I try to focus on researching and writing content for my website. But I do not follow this schedule each day. A couple of days during the week a focus only on content for my website.

Just work on building your site and content and maybe in the morning set out a few minutes to read and answer blogs I do mine first thing with my coffee in the morning then I go through my day of what I need to be doing and if I take breaks then I use my time that way because I like reading the blogs and learning from them it’s all how you feel and up to you
