6 Tips to my fellow newbies. :)

Hello everyone.

Let me just say i am extremely happy to be a part of WA. It has been ten days and i already feel as if i have been here for years. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Big thanks to everyone who has contributed to my journey :)

This is just some advice to my fellow newbie WA members, all based on what i have learned so far. To an older WA member, these may seem like common knowledge now, but when i just came here i did not know what to do or what to expect. I learned the ropes from the others though. So enough of my blabbering lol...

1. Follow the guidelines provided. This is a step by step process and you will get confused if you try to skip a few lessons. You will also leave out an essential part of your website as they are ALL important to building it properly. Kyle and Carson know what they are doing.

2. Be patient. Do not rush your ideas. They will come to you as you go along. Not saying you should not research ideas, but do not get hung up early in the training and waste all your time on it. Kyle has a way of stimulating thought and steering your mind in the right direction when the time is right. So don't go out, all over the place and confuse yourselves.

3. Please, please...please be interactive. Start a conversation, ask a question, comment on other people's post, give constructive criticism, become actively involved in each lesson, encourage and motivate each other! The WA is after all a great community, filled with success stories. There is a wealth of information to be learned from others. Everyone has been so helpful to me. I'm sure they will do the same for you. Which brings me to...

4. Do not, under any circumstances, feel stuck for more than a few seconds! You never really are! Someone here always knows a way to help you out of the mess you created or fix that piece of the puzzle that you just can't figure out! One word...Community!

5. Enjoy the journey. It has been proven, time and time again, that people do better at things they enjoy doing. This is why i would advise you that when the time is right, choose a niche which you are comfortable with and that you can relate to. The ideas will come easier! Less writers block...win win.

6. If you get tired, take a break. If you get frustrated, take a break or ask for help. Maximize your time. A tired mind will work much slower and will therefore be less productive. Use that time to sleep guys. Sleep is good :)

Great post Crystal, Thank you for sharing:)

Thank you Jazmin. Always good to help as we get help along the way

Great post thank you

You're welcome. Thanks for the + feedback :)

Good advice and observations.

It seems so many of us are in a rush to get our site up and running without the foundation to make it a success. A week of time to get it right, and be able to duplicate it in other niches is a small price for overall success.

Thank you. I absolutely agree.

Absolutely !!

Very lovely tips for those just starting out. Thank you for sharing them and assisting people who may be overwhelmed. It is a lot to take in when new. Taking small steps is awesome. :)))

Yes. This was a major issue for me so i decided to make it easier on the others. Thanks for the feedback :)

Very well said and so accurate! The way to rush is to go slow and be thorough with each lesson.

Great advice.

Very good points and I agree with everything you have written. I am one of those who wants to "get going" ... but we truly must take it as the steps recommend.

And the 'take a break' part is so very true. Tomorrow is my break day simply because I still have a full time business to run, and if I ignore that one .... not good results! The day will come, but just not yet.

Yes breaks are essential. It gives you time to regroup and assimilate your ideas. As a MD student and with WA and everything else in my life, breaks are like oxygen to me. Need them to survive. I don't think i truly knew the value of time and sleep before MD.

Thanks, CLoney...very helpful!

You're welcome Micheal. Happy to help :)
