Hey Christina,

This is literally happening to me right now. Sale setup and same issue. Same timeline too. Currently working with Convert kit to resolve this issue and also potentially moving hosting today too to get s temporary solution.

If you'd like, I can send you a Loom video I shot for my team to clue them in with what's going on. It might explain your situation or at least help you know where to start looking.

Is it just Convertkit emails your having issues with or also replying to people too? And if the latter, are you using WA email or something else?

I'm having someone more technical than me look into this issue, and I think it's something on WA's side. (My sites are hosted through WA.)

I have a few things for SiteSupport to check. I'm going to message them again and I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Sounds good. Keep me updated though, you're issue seems closely similar to mine (I'm also hosted on WA too currently).

OK, Andy. It may be an easy fix (and not related to WA hosting, thankfully)!

If you haven't already, have WA add the CNAME records that ConvertKit provides.

In ConvertKit go to Settings --> Email --> Verified Sending Domains.

There should be 2 CNAME records there. WA needs to add these to the DNS records.

Let me know if you have trouble finding these.

LOL, I have almost the opposite issue - I had that set up a while ago, but for some reason, two days ago it broke and won't verify now, so I have to remove those records as well as DMARC (which WA said they couldn't do site level, only server level) just for me to have a temporary fix while Convertkit tries to figure out what's going on. (Hence the reason for moving hosting, so I can have a little more control).

Glad that it's an easy fix for you though. After you set that up, you should be good to go.

Oh no! I hope that's not my issue too. I have no idea. This technical stuff makes no sense to me! lol

I hope everything gets worked out for you!

Thanks - yeah, no, you should be good. They haven't seen this before, so it's an isolated case (which is good for everyone else except for me, lol). But I've already had two Zoom calls with one of Convertkit's higher ups to help resolve the issue. So at least know I'm in good hands.

Enjoy your week/weekend :)

Good morning, Christina,

Just checked--nothing in my spam folder, but didn't get one yesterday.

Have a great weekend...

Kindly let us know when you do :)

Thanks for checking, Joe!

I try the site support again :)

I think it is normal to go in the spam; however, if you add those folks to your contacts, the correspondence will then not.

Yes, I noted that in my message above.

Yup, I try them again :)

Maybe change your wording about a site.

I had this let support know then clear your cache and it should go away

Go to Websites >> Site Manager >> Details. Scroll down to SiteSSL (HTTPS) and check that it's switched on. If it's not, switch it on and that should solve the problem.

I don't even think you can switch SiteSSL off. I wasn't able to.

Yea i tried to turn my off and it didn't let me. However as they are new sites just double check they are on but I am sure you already have done so.

Yeah, you used to be able to but I just checked and got a message saying that if you want to turn it off they have to transfer your site to a different server. So clearly this wasn't the cause of your issue.

Thanks for trying!

Hope you get it sorted.

Hi Christina,

I just tried 3 of my websites on Chrome/Incognito, and all three came up OK. Someone had your same issue yesterday, though...I'll see if I can find that post.

Good luck,

Joe

All of my previous websites work, it's just the new ones that are having issues. It has to be a problem with WA hosting for whatever reason.

- Christina

Have a read of this post From Brenda

Thanks! I read through that and it seems we have the same problem. I hope they can resolve it soon.

that is why I sent you that post just contact site support to see what they can do as they did for Brenda.
Wishing you well

Andre

I did contact SiteSupport and they are waiting to hear from Google. I fear they may wait forever... Google is not exactly the most responsive company... But we'll see!

True Christina with their responses Hope you get it resolved asap.

Take care

Andre

I make sure my domain name

SiteSSL (HTTPS)

is switched to ON clicking details on the domain in question in the site manager

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites

You may also try to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty the server's cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

https://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache

See if there is any change, or else again, reach out to site support

You need to click the fifth button option in PM messages. Or help tab top menu and site support.

I did all of that, but it didn't work. It looks like it's a hosting issue.

Site support and Google Report

I hope so too.

Hi,
The YETI microphone. It's great. I bought it last year when I decided to make a Udemy course.

Best of luck!

Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Great questions Christina, I'd been wondering many of these myself but hadn't gotten around to asking yet.
Also, thanks to everyone who contributed to the answers; just another reason why this is such a fantastic community.

Hey Christina,

We may have chatted about this previously, but in case I'm mistaken, here's the software I use to create videos: Also use PowerPoint's feature for creating soundless videos where I need to add audio...

...and, here's what I found recently to use when editing my videos: https://www.eparrs.com/blog/best-video-editor-software/

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks so much!!

- Christina

Hi Christina, I do not use everything you have listed but what I do use is a Yeti Blu microphone, Camtasia for editing, a webcam C99, and a small ring light.

The microphone and Camtasia I find very important. The webcam is not as good as I would like. A recording camera is much better and the lighting is very important but I have not purchased any good lighting yet. it is more important to get the videos out there at first.

you can look up Benji's Dad (Chris Myles) on youtube and he has listed in his description what he uses also.

Laura

Great, thanks for your insights, Laura!

I currently have a ring light and a microphone, but they're not the best so I am seeing what else is out there.

You use Camtasia for editing? How do you like it? Is it easy to use, and does it do what you want?

I'll definitely see what Chris uses. I know he's killing it on YouTube!

- Christina

I like Camtasia best of all but it is pricey. Camtasia has everything I need plus there are some excellent videos on YouTube that explain some of the more in-depth parts. Essentino Artists have really good videos on Camtasia.

I also use Powerpoint as Trish does for some effects and teaching in some videos.

And I use Canva to make my thumbnails.

You don't have to start with the best. I feel the microphone and editor are the most important to begin.

Hi there!

Hi Christina. As a freelance writer, what I charge depends on a number of variables: The amount of research that goes into the piece, requested turn-around time, length of the piece, and who I'm writing it for. I've written for community-based non-profits for as little as $15 for a 600-word piece and considerably more for businesses with a budget to cover copywriting expenses.

The standard fare is 5-15 cent per word, but there's plenty of room for negotiating. There are a lot of companies out there that serve as the middleman and make their money off of your work. However, they are a good way to get your foot in the door. Just don't expect to make a lot of money working with/for them. They are best used to build a portfolio. Hope this helps.

This is great information! I appreciate it! I will definitely come back to reference this when needed.

Christina, I would suggest you to to Fiverr.com and do a bit or research as there are many freelancers listed who provide this service. It will give you a good idea of what people are charging for this service. There are other sites as well .. upwork.com guru.com are just a few ... Many of the writers have English as a Second Language and list their services very cheap ... compare to those who have similar skills and language proficiency as yourself. You can also list your services on these sites to get referrals ... Good Luck

Thank you, Allan! I'll check out the freelance sites and see what they say.

Hi there :)

It's is hard to suggest a fixed pay rate as different people have different skills.

You will find freelancers from countries who don't speak English offer some really cheap services VS native speaking countries where the rates could get quite expensive, but then again you get what you pay for.

I personally would only hire the best for my work and will be OK paying top dollar BUT expect the same quality in return.

For as long as you can showcase some previous projects you worked on and the quality is good...you can price it accordingly.

Hope that helps :)

Thank you!
