I. Can. Not. Believe. It's. May. Already.

How??

Seriously, how?

I feel like I'm in a time warp or something.

And I'll be honest.

I thought I'd be much father ahead than I am now.

But things are still moving along nicely. I'm not complaining.

Right now my site is definitely going through some roller coaster rides. It's so up and down.

Let's see how I did in April.

My Goals for April Were:

• At least 15 posts up
• At least 3k visitors this month
• Create a few different landing pages and try Bing ads
• Create a funnel and possibly buy some leads (or use Bing ads)
• I have some plans for the bot on my site, so I'll be working on that (I'm currently creating my bot, but I'd also like to do some page-specific bots and an exit page bot.)
• Do something with my email?

I realize I set goals with no real path to achieve them. That's an issue! I did get 15 posts up. I was only able to do 15 as I had a Spring Break vacation with the family in there.

I literally didn't hit any of the other goals. (I did update my chatbot and I created an exit bot, but I removed it for now as it was a bit annoying.)

I just make goals all willy-nilly. Then, time passes by and things happen and I try other things, and I forget about the main goals.

It's all good though. I still make progress. I just end up making progress in other ways!

Traffic & Status Updates

It's not all bad news. It's really not bad news at all. I'm just not good at setting goals! lol

Anyway, this is March's Search Console status:

Past 6 months:

You can see that it's been going up and up and up...but now it's kind of declining a bit. There's a reason for that that I'll talk about in a bit.

Again, you can see that traffic is declining a bit.

The reason for the declines is because I was up more than usual in the middle of the month because I was announced as the winner of the chatbot contest via email.

Fun, right?

That gave me a boost in traffic that naturally declined after a couple of days.

Here's a little snapshot of my site traffic during that time:

It was fun while it lasted! lol

I have approximately 150 keywords ranking in the top 10 of Google. That's actually down from 167 last month, so that's a bit of a bummer, but not a big deal.

Referrals

Here's what my referral stats looked like the past few months:

January = 10
February = 11
March = 25

This month I remembered to take a snapshot:

I feel good about this. Even though things seem a little down in my traffic and numbers, my referrals are still up. 30 smart people decided to join in April. :)

Coming Up in May

I'm going to do things a little different this month. I'm not going to set any specific goals. I have a lot of things already planned in my head, but I'm just going to see what happens when I go with the flow a little more this month.

I will be writing, writing, writing!

I have a new landing page and email sequence that I'm working on. That will be going up soon! I'm kind of excited about it. I purchased a course that just blew my mind. It was so awesome. And I'm basing this new landing page / email sequence on that.

It'll be fun to see if it produces results. (I'll certainly let you know next month!)

I'm also a part of the Super Affiliate Challenge, so I'll be doing whatever Kyle tells us to do! lol

And I HAVE to get YouTube videos going. I just got Screencast O'Matic, so that will be happening.
