How to Change a Paradigm

What is a Paradigm?
The easiest way to explain it is that it's your belief system. We come into this world as babies with a blank thought canvas. Through our parents, friends, teachers, television, we begin to develop a belief system (our paradigm).
The problem is, this belief system usually doesn't serve us. But it's what controls our behavior. So, maybe you have a big goal of making $10,000 a month through affiliate marketing. Maybe you told a parent or a spouse and they said "That's not realistic." Now, you have this belief that it's not realistic and you can't do it. Your paradigm is affecting your progress.
How to Paradigm Shift
The thing is, making $10,000 a month in affiliate marketing is quite doable, and I'm sure many people here on this site make that and much more. It's just a belief. How do you break that paradigm so it doesn't hold you back?
1. First of all, if possible, keep your goals to yourself for the time being until you can build up your belief. Once your belief is built up enough, you won't care what anyone else thinks.
2. Listen to and read books and seminars that will build up your belief system. For me, I love listening to Bob Proctor, Abraham, Bashar, Neville and others who teach about the Laws of the Universe. I recommend these books / audio books --> You Were Born Rich, The Law of Attraction, Think and Grow Rich, The Science of Getting Rich, Write It Down, Make It Happen and It Works. (Just to get you started. lol I have a whooooolllle list on my website if you need more ideas.)
3. Write down your definite and clear goal and when you wish to accomplish it on a card and read it several times a day. (Don't worry about HOW you'll get it done. Let the Universe work that out. But act quickly on any inspirations or ideas!) Read it over and over and over until you begin to believe it.
Don't Let Fear Stop You
This is a quote that was mentioned in the seminar I attended that I thought was brilliant.

If there's something you're thinking of that makes you uncomfortable, you're probably on the right track.
I truly believe we're here to experience all that we can. Sometimes these experiences are scary. Sometimes they're exciting. And sometimes they just plain suck. But they're all experiences and they are all gifts. So enjoy every moment, even if it doesn't seem very fun at the moment.

This is a quote from the "You Were Born Rich" book that I loved so much that I wrote it on my own goal card.
"Faith is the ability to see the invisibe and believe in the incredible and that is what enables believers to receive what the masses think is impossible." - Clarence Smithison
Have faith in yourself. Have faith in your goal. Have faith in the "impossible". Everyone told the Wright brothers flight was impossible. Going to space was impossible. The telephone was impossible. The internet was impossible.
Anything you can think about, you can have.
So, making a great income through affiliate marketing? Easy! It's been done over and over again!
What Do You Want? Have a Clear Picture In Your Mind!
Last, the most important thing you can do is have a clear picture in your mind of what you truly want. See the picture over and over again. Because what happens is that your subcaonscious can't tell the difference between reality and a vision.
And once you impart that vision on your subconscious enough times, the paradigm changes, and that vision comes to physical form.
It has to. It's law.

This post has a lot of wisdom in it.
If we don't have a vision we will dry up.
The vision keeps us moving forward and forcing us to redeem the present because that is our journey to the destination or vision.
The journey needs to be one of contentment, it is made up of ups and downs.
I've learned that you can only go so high before you have to come down. Coming down is preparation for another journey up, it may be a higher height, if not, another amazing view.

Hi...all great thoughts. I like Bob Proctor too. He's 80+ years and still is doing what he loves. I think some people are just better able to have that clear picture...I think it involves a skill set. We can learn how to do it.....just takes a bit longer.

I definitely think there is work in getting that picture and holding it in your mind. And not losing faith in the meantime.

Thank you for your thoughts! Totally agree about stepping out of our comfort zone. It's so hard to do, but worth it! Every time I do something new I totally freak. But I tell myself it's just because it's the first time. And every time, it's a great experience.

Turning a tough day around and making it your bitch is one of the BEST ways to create. lol It can be hard to turn a bad day around, but that is a seriously powerful tool (as it sounds like you've found out).

Very true, Chistina, thank you for sharing! Bob Proctor is one of the many authority figures in the movie and book, "The Secret", and I also love to hear him speak. After a few minutes of his teaching I feel that I can move a mountain. Simple yet profound.
You have another great quote - Always Believe That Something Wonderful Is About To Happen." If you think about that for a moment you begin to visualize this is what happens when you practice the Law of Attraction. By visualizing success you attract success. Great post!

I can totally relate to this it is so true mindset is a huge part in success. I have heard of Bob Proctor before I have seen a few of his youtube videos. He has some pretty inspriational videos out there.
I never read that book though it looks like a good book that quote is really true too. I really liked these books

Mindset really is everything. I know when I truly put my mind to something, and it's something I HAVE to have, it comes to be. No matter what the circumstances.
That's how ALL of our goals, wants and desires have to be in order to achieve them. Thinking about something so much that it manifests in physical form is pretty fun too. :)

you're welcome anytime one thing I have noticed is self help books and any book that helps in a positive way help a lot with mindset. Plus helps with how you should use your money in some situations.
I believe in the Law Of Attraction 100% I use that to my advantage in life since a positive mind will get you nothing but positive in return and vice versa with the negative.
I also have gotten two other books called dotcom secrets and expert secrets but havent had the time to read them though.I hear they are good.
I haven't read those ones either. I'm always looking for great business / self-development books, so thank you!

If you look it up you can find it for full price or you can find it for free but you just have to pay for shipping which is how I did it.
The only catch is since these books were written by Russell Brunson he is the founder of click funnels. You can get the books for like $7 or so bucks for shipping.
You will go through a sales funnel which will give you a few upsells and a downsell or two. If you do decide to go through the funnel and you aren't iterested in any of the up sales or down sales then just find the print that says you don't want that you just want the book.
I just thought I would let you know so you didn't feel like you had to buy something you weren't even thinking of getting you know?

You're welcome anytime I do my best to help when I can. I hear good things about both books. Funnels are a good way of capturing emails and then throwing in your offer. I believe they are really useful.
There are cheaper programs for that though I use a opt-in, squeeze page, landing page whatever you want to call them in my bio for IG. Instead of my blog once I get the email then thats when those trusty autoresponders come in.
Then I will send them to my blog and other social media profiles I have. With some.emails with a CTA
I love your post, Christina! Since you guys were discussing books, I thought I would throw this one your way... Three Magic Words by Uell S. Andersen. It was written 60-70 years ago but is so relevant to LOA principles. It explains the science behind our subconscious mind taking orders from our conscious mind.
It was so life changing for me, I purchased several copies from Amazon for my family but recently added it to my kindle for $3.
In a nutshell, I was living in the mountains and vacationing at the beach. I went through a horrible divorce and 8-year custody battle and wanted to put some distance between me and my ex! After watching The Secret it clicked that there was abundance all around me. An abundance of clothes, an abundance of food, and always enough money to last paycheck to paycheck (which was my thought process then as a single parent).
So I thought if I could live anywhere, where do I want to live? I decided I wanted to live by the beach and vacation in the mountains! I came across Three Magic Words and started imaging myself at the beach in a better job. I knew it was possible to get to the beach even though I had a job lined up in the valley - 250 miles from the beach. We started talking about relocating during the summer in a few months.
Suddenly just before summer, that company was sold to a new owner on the coast - 3 miles from the beach! I offered my services to the new company who was not interested. I knew I planted a seed and hoped they would call back within a year. After all, they were by the beach just like my plans!
In only 2 months, they called back. We worked out all the details, I gave my notice, I trained my replacement, I was outta there! Then the new owner rescinded their offer. I was dumbfounded, out of a job, but kept true to my beliefs. I didn't tell my mom or my daughters, I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want them to worry. I believed I didn't give up everything to end up with nothing, as hard as it was to carry on and have faith.
A month passed. The longest month of my life! The new owner called me up and put everything back on the table. Relocation paid for by my new company.... I moved to the beach on July 4, 2008!!!

Wow, Darla! Amazing story. I love how you held strong to your beliefs, even when it seemed everything around you was unraveling. That's a good lesson because you have to hold the faith to what you want - no matter what!

You hit the nail on the head when you wee talking about don't listen to others when you have a goal. To give you an example, my grandmother always told my dad while he was growing up, :Don;t jump into the swimming pool until you learn how to swim". Now to me that is a ridiculous statement. You have to get into the swimming pool to learn how to swim...
I really enjoy listening to Bob Proctor and I have also bought nearly all the books he recommends reading. Right now I'm reading the "Master Key System" by Charles Haanel. Thank you for sharing what is a paradigm and how to change it.

Hahaha, that's such a funny quote from your grandmother. I understand what she's saying. Learn before taking risks, but I think you're right. You gotta JUMP first and figure it out as you go along. Otherwise, you'll NEVER learn.
I've seen Master Key System, but I haven't read that one.
I love, love, love this little pamphlet called "It Works". It's just a couple of bucks and you can get through it fast, but it's SO good!
