Slow and steady wins the race
This moring I looked at my anylitics and I saw that my traffic doubled overnight. It's still just a handfull of people, but they are showing up from several countries. I have yet to make a sale, but I did make $16 with adsence. Yes, I know this might seem like nothing to most of you, but this confirms that fact that it is working.
I started WA on January 2nd 2018, and I hit the ground with everything I had. I wrote content like it was going out of style. My websites (one for writing one for cooking) were really taking shape. I was told that I should be seeing sales withing the first ninty days, but it didn't happen. I was working myself to death and seeing no results. After burning myself out, I quit telling myself that WA didn't work.
After a three month break, I received a generated letter from Kyle, offering me a chance to come back. Since I had invested so much time in WA, I took the oppertunity to see if I could figure out where I messed up. After a couple week of dilligent work, I discovered where my mistake was. I am a good writer (I think) and I had writen over 50 articles, but I never filled in the bottom parts of the content page. I had unintentionally been leaving the title and the page explaination black, which gave the people searching on Google nothing to search for.
My point is this... Wealthy Affiliate is a huge community. When I saw that I was not succeeding, I should have stepped back and asked for help. I should have gone over that training again, and found what i was doing wrong. There is no clock on your progress here. I realize the ranking system can be fristrating, but it's just a number that keep the WA community competitive, and has nothing to do with the progress of your personal business.
Give yourself a break. You are striving for a better life for you and your loved ones, and it isn't easy. Don't compare yourself to others... most of them have been at this a lot longer than you have. Be patient, and it will come. Now, go have a blessed and Awesome WA day!

Awesome post Clay!
Well done for assessing the situation and getting back on the horse. It's great being highly motivated and making the most of the opportunities available to us but we also have to take care of ourselves.
There's a lot of positives you can take from this experience and I wish you well on your journey.
Thanks for the insight Clay. 2 of my pages just got indexed which I see as a triumph. i'll be sure to check the bottom of my pages as well!
