How do I fix HTTP ERROR 500?

I have already cleared my browser's cache.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Where are you getting this error? Are you getting this when you try to visit your website?

If so, I suggest creating a hosting support ticket here:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

You can also find this within the Websites menu under the "SiteSupport"(to the left). This is where you should go if you ever have loading issues with your website, email issues, plugin/theme issues, or if you accidentally do something that adversely impacts your website.

This support is 24/7 and upon submitting your ticket we will look into it right away Claudia!

Thank you, Kyle.

And let me know if the problem persists, but they should be able to get you sorted with any hosting issues.

Meta-description has wrong text

Legal information appears as meta description on a few of my blog posts and home page.

Also, sentences from one article appear as

I’m using the all in one plugin but I always manually type it in so it contains what I want it to as opposed to what the plugin decides it’s going to display

I am in the process of doing that. I hope it works. Thank you.

Hi Claudia,

Are you inputting your meta descriptions manually or relying on an SEO plugin to generate them?

Partha

Relying on SEO.

All in one SEO pack.

Okay, then it will pull information from the first 160 characters of your post, but often from other pages too.

I always rewrite my meta descriptions (I also use AIO SEO) and meta titles (just in case).

AIO is a great plugin, but it is still only software, so unfortunately it may not always add the metas that you want.

I always include my keyword first in the meta description and then just write until I hit the 160 characters.

Not sure how many posts you have, but just set yourself a goal, e.g. update 5 metas a day, etc.

Partha

I couldn't find the AIO SEO plugin. Are you using AIO instead of al in one SEO?

However, I am going to manually write the meta-description for each article. Thanks for your advice.

Do you have any idea how long does it take until I can see any change in my meta-description after I re-write everything?

Sorry AIO = All-in-One.

I just used an acronym.

Well the indexing/re-indexing feature has been disabled on Google Search Console for the last month, otherwise you could've got it done more-or-less immediately.

So, now it depends on when Google next decides to next crawl your site.

You have the option to change how often you're site's sitemap is crawled within All-in-one SEO Settings, e.g. Daily/Weekly/Monthly.

But to be honest while Google is still going through it's current update it won't make any difference, but something to consider for the future.

I typically post on a daily basis and I seem to have my site crawled a couple of times a week at the moment (it was crawled daily before 14th October when Google disabled the indexing feature)

So, it depends on how often you post/update your site I guess.

As long as you're adding posts at least once a week, I would hazard a guess the updated metas should show within 7-10 days.

But that's just an educated guess, if that.

Partha

:) AIO means all in one. :) Good. Now I understand. I am not very technical.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Claudia

Will posting about coronavirus affect my ranking?

Hi - you may wish to read Jessica's post about how her site was shut down.

Posting about Covid should not affect your ranking although I have heard of people being penalised for creating content about "cures" and "remedies" for Covid.
Keep it factual and there should be no problem

Talking about the most popular topic in history will not affect your ranking. What above anything at this time has the whole world had to focus on if not COVID!!

Why would it!

Which ranking the WA or your websites. If latter would that be related to your niche. However if WA, as long as you follow the guidelines, I should not see why you shouldn't.

I help people with supraventricular tachycardia to get rid of their symptoms naturally. Is it too broad? Does my niche have to be a single product?

No, it is not too broad. It sounds perfect! A single product is very restrictive.

That sounds like a good niche idea. While you can start with a single product, you can add more as you continue to create content.
