There a few ways to know if we are being scammed. These can include the following:
1. You were contacted unexpectedly by someone
2. The person has promised you something
3. The person has asked you for something
4. The person has asked you to put up some money in order that you can get some money
5. You are told that you have won something...some prize that you did not enter to win.
Sometimes we are scammed due to our own naivety. If you did not enter a promotion, how can you win it? A gentleman from my community was fleeced out of $35,000.00 Jamaican dollars some time ago because he was told he had won a "Beer Money" promotion. The funny thing about his thing is that he is a Christian and I would have sworn that he did not drink beer much less to enter such a promotion. The long and short of it is that he lost his money!
Now we come to the gist of my blog post!
Is Wealthy Affiliates a scam?
Where you contacted unexpectedly by someone?
What were you promised?
What did the person ask you for in return?
Did you pay money upfront to get something? Be careful here! You joined this programme for free! Your only cost so far was to purchase your own website and your monthly hosting fee! :)
Were you told that you have won something?
The fact is we all can answer a definite NO to all the questions above! We also have the success stories to go on and since we know that nothing comes easy, we have to put in the work to grow our online business.
One of my guiding mantra is to get all the facts before I make a judgment. That is another reason I think WA is the best! There is always someone on hand, someone in the community to lay out the facts!
I really am enjoying myself here so far.
To our success!

Thanks for sharing Claudia. 99% of what is on the internet is scam, spam, misinformation, or all 3. Just like newspapers and television news channels.
So glad you are having fun here Claudia. It's all the great people and training.
Onwards to more fun and success.
Lily 😊
