Weaves and Wigs
Hey everyone!
Some persons are blesses with a healthy head of hair unfortunately others are not. Weaves and wigs fulfill a demand for these persons but it is quite usual for those who are blessed to want to change up their look from time to time. Wigs have been around for ages! I usually view with mirth the judges in some courts who wear the ceremonial wigs not to mention those old English movies in which the men sport their wigs...hilarious!
the fact is, weaves and wigs have become a major and necessary accessory for both males and females nowadays. You tell me just what some men would do without the much-needed toupee!
WIGS
Wigs today are a far cry from what they used to be in yesteryear....wearers nowadays are proud of their wigs.....nothing to hide. Wigs are so expensive that wearing particular kinds instantly improve your status, placing you with the elite! A simple wig of 12" can cost anywhere between 500 and 700 US dollars, depending on the site from which it is purchase, the origin of the hair or thee type of wig.
People, as I stated before, wear wigs for different purposes. These could include
- to change their look
- for the convenience
- as a protective style
- due to Alopecia in its many forms
among other reasons.
Whatever the reason for wearing wigs, there are some simple steps that will ensure that it is comfortable, well fitted and the cut is suitable for your face shape. Take into consideration too, the occasion for which you are purchasing it. Believe me...you could be wearing a most expensive wig but if it doesn't suit the shape of your face, you are doing yourself a great injustice.

Thanks for sharing, apart from using them for carnivals from time to time, I`m terrified of wigs, what if a strong gash of wind pulls off my wig?
Yes, there have been times I`ve thought of wearing wigs to change my hairstyle or on those bad hair days, but I`m careless and I don`t want my wig(hair) looking awkward in the middle of the day.

Thanks for responding to my post! Good news! Wigs can actually be sewn to your hair making they impossible to come off unless you cut them off! I make my own wigs in the UPart style and sew them on around my hairline. Apart from that, wigs come with clips and adjustment straps so you can make use of these.
I don't even want to start convincing all on WA to wear wigs! :)
