Information Overload. HELP!

Today I want to talk about how I am feeling. It is not that I do not have any accomplishments because I found out that my two month old website is worth approximately US$5669 and that is great news to me but I will leave that for another time because I need HELP!

I am bombarded with so much information that I feel like I am losing my mind! I feel confused to the point that I might just let it go for a week, recoup and start again. There Enter your own correction... a plethora of information here on WA. Some of them I am just finding out. I admit that some places on the platform I have not yet gone. Today I found the classrooms, and Training HQ (I do not even know what that means yet! ) A few days ago used Live Chat for the first time. This is just WA!

You are faced with tonnes of information when you do research for content. My kids come home with homework and projects and then we research some more...my head is full! Am I the only one having this problem? I need to know because I am not joking, I would definitely have to go to the doctor! Words are driving me nuts!

How do you all do it? I can't even remember to post stuff to social media most of the times. It is really hard to wrap your mind around all this....so much to remember. I am definitely going to have to slow down and focus on one thing at a time. I cannot continue to be buzzing around everything and I| notice that it is harder to move down from top 200 than it was to reach 200. I am going to focus on improving my website for the time being. Breathe.

Hello Claudia and thanks for sharing.
The thing that I do is just take one day at a time.
Set small goals that you want to achieve each day and when you get used to that then you can increase them.
There is a lot to learn but I know from my own experience that you will start to remember those things that you cannot today.
Find the pace that best suits you and try not to compare yourself to others.
We all have a different race to run, you just need to find your best race.
All the best and have a great weekend.
Darren :)

Do not worry, take a breathe you will be fine soon, as long as you can ask question to the community for anything you do not understand, your problem will get fixed, thanks for the post.

Wow, Claudia. I can certainly feel it in this post of being overwhelmed.

I think many of us are... therefore getting organized will help. There are many things to do and we all get distracted too. I just come up with a list of items to focus on so I don’t feel I need to do everything now.

Yes breathe in count to 10 and slowly exhale. Do this several times and it will help to calm you.
It's been so long since I had to help my child with homework. You might need to just work at a slower pace for a few days until your mind clears itself.

Have a blessed night.
Charlotte

It can be daunting.... we all take in information differently. I like what Aussiemusso comments are.... that's great advise

Take deep breaths and have a cup of coffee. I always take a breather to cool off.

You must try to compartmentalize the info and filter the relevant ones for your needs.

Azizah.

It is hard to keep up if you are researching topics you don't know much about. That is why I try to focus on topics I already know quite a bit about from my own personal experience with the products.

You don't have to be posting to social media if you don't want to. I know it is presented in the training as if it is something we should all do every day but I dug a little deeper last year and found that Kyle himself said it is not necessary to use social media and there isn't even much point when you are starting out. This is because there won't be much for people to see on your site at the beginning anyway so it is better to focus on adding content first. Therefore, you could step back from the social media part for now if you like. I stopped worrying about it and I am glad I did. I get more traffic from organic searches anyway! Social media takes up a lot of time.

It depends on your preferences and your niche as well. Some niches are more appropriate for social media than others. There are successful members here who focus almost exclusively on organic traffic (using great keywords, SEO and content to get traffic from the search engines). It is possible to start making money without using social media at all.

I hope you don't feel too overwhelmed. There are still things I don't do here either and I have been a member for several years. You don't have to do everything at once. Take your time.

Good luck,
Jessica

Yes information overload is a real strain. I try to keep my focus narrow too. Lessons, content, fix issue.
You can really do this. Pick one thing at a time and you will breathe easier, it's not a race.

Oooooooh! I am so right there with ya! Just baby step it. I pretty much stick to the training and the exercises there, checking out the sites that come up, and checking in with folks in my network, welcoming a few new folks and working on my site. I know where's a whole lot more that I can be doing, but I just want to figure this out first. Hope this helps you out. Just focus and breathe! Christine

OOOOOH SAAAAAAAAHH--R E L A X! Everything will be A-okay, Claudia!
