You’ve started a Local Marketing Business and have landed your first client… Now What!?
There are a few critical steps to take during the entire client journey and it is important to follow a specific process to ensure the best outcome for you and the client.
In this live class you will learn everything you need to know about working with clients and how to ensure the entire process goes smoothly.
Is there training on WA about what to do if a client's website (or your own website) is hacked? In the live demo in which Jay @magistudios shows some of the steps he was taking to build a website for his client Status Barber Shop in Victoria BC, he shows that the barber shop's original website was hacked. In the video at 41:10 you see the Google results with www.barbershopvictoriabc.com taken over with all Chinese letters in the Google results, and the Google note, "This site may be hacked." BarberShopVictoriaBC.com sounds like it was a good website name for Google ranking purposes , before it was taken over with Chinese language characters/clearly hacked (or maybe the domain name was not so great, because not memorable for actual clients of Status Barber Shop?) For a hacked website, isn't it possible to take steps to delete all of the hacked files and use your back-up files (assuming you/client have been backing up your files) to re-upload the original website files, after ensuring a firewall now is in place to prevent future hacking? In this training video Jay shows that he is creating a NEW website for the client (to replace the hacked one), with the new website name: www.StatusBarberShop.com. What (if anything) should the client do about the original hacked website (which was still ranking on the first page of Google at the time this October 2019 WA Live Event webinar was filmed?)
Hello Jay @magistudios, Excellent webinar, as always! Two quick follow-up questions: (1) you mention in this video that there would be a download of a version of the checklist/list to use for asking Local SEO questions, but I don't see a link here to download the document; and (2) is there a place in your other Local SEO training here on WA where we can find a template for the Letter Agreement you talked about in this video, and/or can you link a Letter Agreement template here? (Other commenters below also would appreciate a template for Letter Agreement, for example see comments from mechidor and NurseBecca below.) Thanks again! - Kate
THanks Jay this is grest stuff!
thanks for your help Jay
