Can you fusion it with affiliate marketing? Let me explain: You buy a product from them, do a review or post on the product and subject of the product and you invite a link to your "store" or do a comparison between products that are from the store and those that are from affiliates?! Thank you for your answer and your wisdom! Liz

Yep you can build a blog with informational posts and reviews and then direct your readership to your store to purchase goods if you like or to your affiliations. And your store if you'd like to set up one can run totally on dropshipping. Sounds like a great plan. However, I'd wait see what Jay has to say. Jay's training, coaching and live events are exceptionally great. His wisdom is second to none. Wish you success in your endeavors.

I'm currently working on that very thing Liz. I'll be pointing my blogging site to my e-commerce site using affiliate links. Jim

Hi Elizabeth, I wouldn't mix dropshipping with affiliate marketing, also what you just explained in your question doesn't make sense to do. You don't buy products in affiliate marketing or dropshipping. I mean, in dropshipping you do buy products, but you don't ship it to yourself, you ship it to your customer. Dropshipping stores do NOT have traffic remember. The dropshipping business model is to create a shop where you deal with your customers and leave the manufacturing to do the shipping for you. So if you get people to your store (by blogging with your site), then when someone places an order in your store, you have to then place an order with the manufacturer. There is automation you can do on some sites where you don't have to place the order manually. There is no affiliate marketing in that process I just explained which is the typical dropshipping model. When you're doing affiliate marketing, you don't need a "store". Why would you need one? How it's taught here is that you write content to drive traffic to a post that talks about the product you're promoting and within that post, you will have an affiliate link that your visitors could click on that takes them to the retail store like Amazon. So this business model is much simpler and has nothing you need to do to buy any product or order anything, which makes earning very passive on a blog. Dropshipping can provide passive income as well if it's all automated, where you don't have to do the ordering manually with the manufacturer. But this business model needs you to get traffic to your shop. So, unless you attach a blog to to your store or drive paid traffic to it, you won't get visitors to your shop. Having an online store is very involved than what Jay showed in this training. There's a lot more that goes into it like getting payment processing in place. You also have to deal with refunds, exchanges, and customer service - all things you do NOT do for affiliate marketing. So I would just double think what you want to do instead of mixing affiliate marketing with dropshipping. PM me if you wish to discuss further. :) I hope this helps you understand the two business models!!

Hi Jay, thanks for this webinar on the Art of Dropshipping. Unfortunately I missed it. But I have a question. Do you have a written step-by-step instruction of the process to set up and start taking orders.?
