Reflections after my first month of WA

Wealthy Affiliate has proven to be so much more than I thought it was when I signed up. Before WA, I wanted to make a website and figure out how to get traffic and add affiliate links but I had no guidance. I spent many hours learning how to code and built a website from scratch. I started filling it with content but I really didn't know what I was doing and had no confidence that all of my many hours of hard work would even pay off. I slowly became less interested in adding content to my website but I never stopped scouring the internet to figure out how to make money online.

I decided to opt in to some of the top earning websites out there and see if I could figure out what they were doing and then apply it to my own website. I found other websites to be very inspiring but I still did not have the confidence that I actually knew what to do to earn money online. Eventually I stumbled across Multi Level Marketing and did an immense amount of research to figure out if it was a scam. I was very appealing because I did think that joining a structured program would be helpful and motivating, but in the end I decided it was a scam. After all, some of these MLM programs had terrible reviews online and many unhappy customers. I wondered if this was just because some people didn't put in the work and so lost money but as I continued to research, I saw that that wasn't the case.

I found myself reading an article reviewing a MLM System, calling it a scam. But then it mentioned Wealthy Affiliate and how it was not a scam. I was skeptical and did some searches to look into WA. To my amazement, all the reviews I found were favorable. When I saw that it was free to try, I signed up without hesitation.

Little did I know, Wealthy Affiliate was so much more than I ever thought it would be! The whole supportive community is amazing, incredibly helpful, and like nothing I have ever seen before. I am so grateful to be surrounded by all of these positive, optimistic, and encouraging people!

So far I have created a website nicer than I ever thought I would be able to make. The guidance is immensely helpful and I have learned so much. It would have taken me forever to get this far on my own! I stuck with some members' advice to follow the training in order and not skip ahead and I think that was great advice. At first I was looking into some more advanced training too but that was definitely a big waste of time. Without WA, I couldn't even figure out how to use WordPress! (I didn't know about the activate theme button). Now, I have created the website AdventureAhoy.com complete with a sliding gallery, parallax motion, and have written posts, gotten comments, and started ranking on Google!

I plan to keep a steady pace of writing blog articles, continuing to follow WA training, and I would like to become more active in the WA community. Wealthy Affiliate is an amazing program and I am so glad I found it!
