i just wrote my first post. unfortunately, that does not amount to an authority website. how many posts should i write?

Many posts. Aim for 100 for starters. Then aim for the next 100. So far I have only 60, and I've been on here for 6 months. Just keep writing.

You have some good answers below.

you have a writing speed of 1 post per 3 days. keep it up!

That's what I am aiming for.

Hie Dom, to be an authority in your niche will take time, consistency, a lot of quality content. Actually, when you want to be an authority in your niche you mustn't stop creating content. Creating content is an ongoing process
Site comments have helped me a lot in seeing what good websites look like.
To access site comments, go to your dashboard, open Websites>>Comments>>select leave some comments>>You will be given websites to comment on. While commenting, you will meet a lot of websites, Authority, and new websites

i dont recommend using sitecomments although it is part of the training as you need to offer comments before getting them, but often there are no websites to comment on. also, u have to set up a gravatar.com account first.

there is a 'give and take' thread however.

Don't you think "give and take" is good?
Site-comment is established as avenue for us to support each other's site because Google is looking at the site engagement as one of the factors in ranking. The more comments you get on you site, the better Google will see it.

Joe:)

The more the merrier. Just write good content regularly. As you work through the training, Kyle tells you to write a post doing,.....
Following the training makes all the difference.

ah... i skipped some training.. time to revisit previous training levels.

Thirty highly ranked posts will give you a good start.Jim

If I take two weeks to write a post, thirty posts will take about a year. Unfortunately, that still doesnt guarantee my posts will rank highly.

Why would it take two weeks to write a blog? I have another business that I run that keeps me busy for about 10 hours a day yet I still manage 1 a week. Others here can write 5 or more a week. It's really totally up to you. Jim

how to increase rank and what should I blog about?
must i have premium membership to start a blog?

Just realized starter members do not know how to increase rank as rank is covered in lvl 2 trg which requires premium membership.

Hi Dom,

Robert has answered your question well. As far as I know, you can have two websites as a free member. I actually upgraded immediately as I could see the benefits of being a premium member and if you are serious about being successful online, I would definitely go for premium membership. However, if you want to try out your Internet marketing, free membership is a great starting point.

Enjoy your weekend.

Roy.

As a premium member you will be allowed to blog as a free member you cannot.

You can blog about anything as long as its not about politics or religion.
