Is There A Problem with Rank?
I don't know if I should ask this question because a lot of people have different opinions to this here but I will go ahead and ask, I don't like to be left curious about something, that eats me up until I ask, so don't Judge me it's just the way I am.I have noticed that my rank was 305 but the more I do tasks the more it's going up, the last time I checked I was 380 then went to 400 and jumped to 860 within 3 days of me doing tasks, is this the new way of ranking?Just curious!!!

Like others have said, your rank has no bearing in regard to your online success. If you are focusing on "tasks" such as working on your site or following the courses I don't think that catapults one in rank?? If you are interacting with the community that is what seems to move you up in rank. Again, as others have said, I wouldn't worry too much about your rank.
I am not worried was just curious to see how fast it's falling, I concentrate much on creating articles and doing my tasks.

It's a nice feeling being rewarded for our activity here inside WA community. Perhaps a way of thanking us for helping our fellows here. I thank WA for putting me in the Top 50. But you know what? I'd be more thankful if Google gives me high rankings too with my site's posts.
Exactly and that is where the catch is, I have done almost all the right things, followed tasks but see not much activity. Hoping to see a break once I reach maybe 80 articles, so far have done 54.

However, My advice will be; don't focus too much on ranking.
Yes, it can motivate you to do more yet it can deter you from concentrating on your main reason for joining the community.
There are people in rank 1000 here and successful simply because their focus is on one thing and one thing only; Monetizing their chosen niches. Much blessings. Edi

I know the feeling. I agree with those who say WA ranking, while nice, is not the "be all and end all." I am going to keep contributing while focusing on my objective: developing additional income streams.

Don't get caught up in the ratings. Do what you do, work on your site get the google ranking make money be happy.
That's what it's about.
Yes I work on my site and the making money part has still not happened but still having faith and hope. And I am still pushing like I wrote, was just curious.

I would like to think positively. It's a fact that there are thousands who are working in the WA community. He who garners more likes will surely have the greater opportunity to step higher. Plus posts and any help extended to anyone. These will all contribute to cumulative points to rank anyone.
Of the thousand working in the same direction, the moment you relax the more you will be left behind. The higher rank you are the lesser competition.
That's on our side as working towards the direction. What about an algorithm's fault? That may be the worst thing to happen. I think with this thing anyone will climb up to hundreds while others will go down to the same degree.
It's nice to see many views and opinions, great to have a community like this, I am not worried about that I want to start seeing income coming in, that is what is worrying me right now.

As they always remind us, it is best to stick to a niche and build your authority website. When I was not fully decided on what niche I started three websites. Now I am in difficulty of maintaining the three in content.
One website will not have a competition in time you can work well in building content.
This needs to be said, and I will say this to anyone who will listen, your WA rank has absolutely no bearing on your online success. It's simply an indicator of your activity in this community. I know most know this, and you seem to as well, but I suggest not focusing too much on this.
HOWEVER...and all that said...
if you're niche is going to be promoting WA, by all means you should grow your community of followers and try to have a rank at least in the top 1000. It's easy to accomplish.
I've interacted WA'ers who've quickly ascended to the top 500 that have not made a dime from their online efforts. Others are making a great living. You can post, chat and comment on WA all day and really get distracted from the task at hand.
Now let's go make some money :)
I am not really worried about the rank thing but when you notice something it is always good to ask than quessing I think, and I like to ask questions, that how we all learn and become better.
Yes making income is what I am looking forward to but I also love what I am doing it really does make me happy..

They are still working on the algorithm of this I reckon, yesterday there was again a major shift, and the system looked like an earthquake, tossing everyone around again.
The best expanation so far, that's why you are just amazing because today from 400 I am 900 quite a move.

I know what you mean. It's all very well to be told to not worry too much about your rank, but at the end of the day it's good to get some recognition for your endeavors.
You are right especially if you are putting in too much effort and working hard but I will ignore and continue working on my progress. Thanks.
