Just wondering where our blogs here are indexed. If I used them elsewhere, would it be duplicate content? Or if I post excerpts of any of the blogs on my website here, again wo

Yes, they get indexed.

Just for interest sake: You are not allowed to copy any of your blogs into your content on your websites or any of your content on your websites into your Wealthy Affiliate blogs.

Jude sent me a link to the no spam policy of WA the other day, but I cannot find it now.

Maybe if you ask her she can send it to you :))

You can use your affiliate link for your blogs on your website.

Hope this is helpful.

Rika

I hadn't realised that they were indexed until I got a referral from one of mine lol :)

Hi, Jude. Please see my response to Chuka. Maybe you can send her the WA Spam policy, I cannot find the one you sent me the other day.

It is very helpful to understand what you can or cannot do with your material in WA.

I noticed something very interesting. You are not even allowed to put any external links in your posts or questions.

Have a great day.

Rika

Yes they (and questions asked) are indexed so it would be duplicate content if you reproduced them verbatim on your site.
Links would be okay; so would accredited excepts....

Thanks, Chuka, for helping me to add to my store house of information. . . . good question.

Good to know! Thanks

Thank you Chuka for this question and learned from it.

Yup and yup. But that doesn't mean you can't quote or backlink!

They sure are, and if you write them with seo in mind they have a better chance of ranking well.

And yes that means it would be duplicate content.

I am so grateful for your time responding to my question. I have clarity now. Much appreciated

I asked years ago and the answer was yes and vice versa. You can share the urls, but do not rewrite the blogs on another platform. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much. I suspected but wasn't sure. I appreciate the clarity. Thank you again.

I've had good feedback on my website and one of the things I need to fix is to make it mobile friendly. My theme is Omega and I do not know how to do it. It works fine on table

I use the omega theme and my site is 100/mobile friendly. I don't know why yours wouldn't be. My site is http://superabs50.com

Hi Cynthia,

Thank you for your comment. I have had a look at yours and maybe I am fussing about nothing. Yours shows the comments box but mine doesn't. The sidebars for both are at the bottom of the page, which is somewhat unusual but that's not a deal breaker I guess.

You may need to change your theme...you could check Omega...there should be a description about it and whether or not it is mobile friendly>>>

Thanks Steve. Changing the theme is no longer an option at this stage. I will follow the suggestions made here to decipher what works best. I appreciate your time.

The following site on the Drupal 7 take gives guidance here. http://www.seascapewebdesign.com/blog/how-build-mobile-friendly-theme-adaptive-theme

Thank you Mike. I'm just wondering if Drupal works the same way as WordPress. Moreover being a newbie in website building, I'm looking for easier process. I will study it to see what I can do from that.

I appreciate your time in getting me this link.

Sorry for the break. I am surprised that your omega theme is not mobile friendly, perhaps you need to just update, to make it mobile friendly or ask for the theme support. Its not what you can do from your end at all.

Hi

Maybe mobile friendly is too strong. It shows blog posts very well but you can't see the sidebars, which contain other information. They are at the bottom and not many people start from the bottom of a page.

Thanks for your reply - much appreciated.

This is not for you to do. Your theme is either mobile friendly or not. I

Above my 'pay-scale' at this time. Sorry, Chuka.

Thank you all the same Paul, for responding.

We're using the same theme. And may I ask, where did you get that info that your site doesn't works fine in mobile phones?

Hi,
It only shows the the blogs but not the sidebars.

You could try this plugin

Oh this is so cool Loes, thank you. I will go and check it out.

Hope it will help you Chuka

Omega is a responsive theme. So should be mobile friendly.

It is responsive Ian but my challenge is that it doesn't show the side bars where I have the menus and other things. It shows only the posts.

There are plugins for this, I am using one because it is hard to change the theme, I get a mess when I try. Nobody advised me in the beginning.

So if your site is small it is better to change the theme to avoid yet another plugin.

Hi Jovo,

Thank you. Which plugin do you use and is it easy and effective? I want to keep plugins to a minimum but this mobile friendly issue is very important to me.

No I have several posts now and it is relatively busy. Changing is no longer an option for me.

Thank again.
Chuka

It is WPtouch Mobile Plugin, but I would again stress better change the theme. Though your theme should be responsive already.

Hi

I'm wondering whether it's more effective to register as an affiliate using Amazon.com or Amazon.your country, in this case UK. My website is dot com.

I looked

Great

Why not both? In fact 8 of them even better. You can collect them all using some plugin.

Hi Javo, thank you for your prompt response. Do I have to apply to each of them? No sure how to go about it. Thanks :)

Yes, I believe you would need to apply to each one of them to get unique affiliate ids.

Yes you would apply for all separately, but this is simple procedure.

Thank you Javo. My oversight for acknowledging late.

No problem.

Please can someone tell me if a keyword QSR value of 0 (zero) is good? The article power indicates 9.7.

Thank you in anticipation.

Chuka

Thank you Rudi. I will play around with the 3 keywords that are coming up with nil value to see what happens. I appreciate your response.

Try a few more times with the same keyword. Usually, it comes up with a 'valid' QSR.

QSR shows the number of sites using exactly the same keyword. It might mean that no one else is using it.

Thank you Billy. I will google the keywords and see what comes up. I appreciate your response.

You can check the real QSR of the keyword by enclosing it in quotation marks and then googling that! ie "[keyword]"

Thank you Tansa. I will do that because 3 keywords came up with the nil QSR value. I appreciate your insight.

Yeah, I would always double check any keyword with a 0 QSR. Sometimes it is completely correct and there are no rankings under it, but sometimes it is a funny ranking within Google and is actually a null value.

Anything other than a QSR can absolutely be trusted, but always double check anything with a 0 QSR.

Thank you Kyle, will do

It is a glitch with both the WA and Jaaxy keyword tool. I would try using another word if you can

Thank you Robert. I appreciate your response.

A null value - not good

Thank you Michael. I appreciate your support.

If you are using the keyword tool then it is a glitch. This was found a little while ago. I thought they had fixed it but yesterday I too had the same thing happen, but only on one keyword.

Thank you Gloria. i came across 3 with nil value, which confused me.Never seen it before. Thank you for your help :-)

When you review or recommend a product as an affiliate, is it a requirement or good practice to add a disclaimer? I mean, telling your readers that you have an affiliate intere

It is a requirement. I did some training on this that may help you

This is so helpful Erica. That's so helpful.

Just be honest when you recommend something. If you provide good value to your visitors, you've done a great job and you deserve the affiliate commission. For me personally, it's obvious that I'm on an affiliate website if someone's recommending a product.

Yes, Cooldad, thank you. Integrity is important.

I go with my own experience with a product/service. If it is all it claims to be, and I have had the same experience, I will rave about the product, but will temper that rave with an of the downside notes I've accumulated. Honesty is the best. Let others know how you feel about the subject - good and bad - and they can judge for themselves, while you are showing integrity and knowledge.

Many thanks Bigbroian for sharing your experience.

Thinking about how to answer that one, but I'm not sure myself.....
I think I've seen affiliates describing how they themselves are benefitting from using a product themselves, telling about the positive experience and providing the link, and not much more....
But do get some additional input.....
Cheers
Therese

Thanks Therese. I wanted to be sure what the requirements are before I start reviewing products even though my natural inclination would have been to declare my interest.

Good example for me......!:-)

Great point. The objective here is to establish credibility and trust and nip any doubt in the bud ahead of time.

Thank you Mike. I wondered about that because I've come across many affiliate recommendations without mentioning their interest in either the review or recommendation.
I wanted to start with best practice. Thanks
