The Razor's Edge
In his book You Were Born Rich, Bob Proctor speaks about the book by W. Somerset Maugham and the movie “The Razor’s Edge.”
The key message is that “the line which separates winning from losing is as fine as a razor’s edge…”
Here are 4 scenarios:
- One person just about starts a project while the other does actually starts it;
- One person almost completes a task while the other does complete it;
- One person sees an opportunity, the other acts on it; and
- One student nearly passes the exam while the other does pass it.
The difference between the person who gets a GOLD medal and SILVER can be mini-seconds and as fine as the razor’s edge.
A small shift in ATTITUDE can be the difference between thriving and striving.
Next time you come across something you find a little daunting, don’t back away, don’t quit, just keep going, it might just be the “gold medal” you have been waiting for. To your success friends!

Good point!! Yes, thanks!!! When things seem daunting that is a good thing to keep in mind. A tiny bit of extra effort might make the difference. It might result in more traffic to our site or a sale, or making a new connection that will help us in the future.

Great post, Chuka. The bigger the prize, the better the competition.
Much appreciated Richard.
