But the door is wide open
This is the story of a fly.
A fly got caught by the closed window sill in its attempt to get out. The sun was pelting hard on the glass trapping the heat, thus making the fly more agitated to get out.
In the meantime, less than 5 feet from the window was a door, wide open. But the fly couldn’t see the open door. It flapped and buzzed, desperately trying to escape from the hot glass unsuccessfully. The fact that it was trying indicated that there was no real attempt to find other ways to escape.
Poor fly, its fate was sealed. It tired itself out, suffocated and died.
In life we sometimes focus on one solution and fail to see doors that are wide open next to the ‘problem’. This is the story of perception; when the mind opens, we see other doors wide open. Some people only see problems, others see solutions and opportunities from the same situation.
Have a fantastic week my friends :)

Hi Chuka,
It must be Karma that you write this.
I just drafted some lines regarding 'When one door closes...'
Regarding the Fly.
When one does intrude into my space, I talk to it.
" Listen Fly...don't know how you got in here, but you are being a pest. Leave peacefully as I will show you the way out."
For those that listen...they know that I would not 'hurt a fly' and leave knowing that they are in the wrong place.
For those that become obstinate...well, they take care of themselves.
Thanks for the post.
Kindest regards,
Paul.

What a simple truth. It is why we can each read the same exact thing and all take something very different from what is written. It's a strange and beautiful fact that makes this whole world continue to be so unique
You are absolutely right Jennifer. It's our abilities to see things differently that add beautiful perspectives to things.
