Finally Cleared Notifications Only To Receive An "Oh No!"
Hmm, there's me thinking that I have been a good boy, and I was about to give myself a pat on the back, when I saw this
I've finally cleared off all of my notifications since the new update to the platform, and I was expecting to see a "Yay, well done, no more notifications", but instead, noooooo, I get a negative message which really demotivated me haha
Are you happy to see this message each time you clear off your notifications, or would you prefer a green banner, instead of red, saying something like, "Well done, you have no more notifications to respond to. You will receive more notifications as you continue to interact with other members here at Wealthy Affiliate."
What are your thoughts? I'd love to know whether it's just me or not ;-)

Yea I got the same with mine yet it still shows there are notifications at the top.
Been asking for this to be fixed both in live chat since this started along with the bug post to no avail.
Maybe you need to be a plus member now to get some action done compared to before.

No worries Andre, and yes, I believe it's still on the bug list, although a fix was rolled out yesterday, it didn't quite fix everything just yet.
The interesting question is what are Newbies to WA seeing on their Notifications when they first signed up and haven't met anyone yet? I think Kyle follows everyone who joins up so I expect that they would at least see his.
It would be better if it were green or empty. I know if we clear our email inbox out, that it's clear and empty - not red. Red is always an issue or warning sign to me.

As for Kyle, he doesn't follow new starters for a couple of days, but he does message them after about 30 minutes or so. Their referrals also message them, so there should be at least 1 or 2 notifications up there :-)
Haven't been to clear mine yet. That circle keeps going round and round and round.
This bell is one of the things I hardly ever used since I joined back in 2016. Every so often I clear it up, but I don't see the use since I get notified by email of what is important to me...
That's fair enough Denis, I do receive the emails as well, but I prefer to use the inbuilt notifications, as I find it faster to respond to them
You make a good point. I might start using it for that same reason. You converted me to the block editor, might as well make it 2 out of 2🙂
haha how are you finding the block editor? ;-) And don't say by logging into WordPress and clicking on Pages and Posts haha
I actually love it. It's as efficient as Elementor but just for blog posts. I was reticent to change over from classic but I don't regret one bit now. The more I play with it the more I like the ease of doing things...and the Wysiwyg is awesome for mobile!!!👍
Hi Chrystopher, I have tried to delete my read notifications. Clicked on envelope, marked as read but it does not empty the notifications. Yes I got the same banner after I marked them as read. I still have notifications dating back to the day of the upgrade. Plus I am still showing 38 on top of the bell. Are there still bugs in this update

I don't believe there is a bug affecting the actual notifications anymore, or the marking as read. But I do still have a 1 appearing on the bell after marking as read.

As a former educator I must admit I used red ink ALOT. However, seeing that banner pop up in Red instantly made me feel I had done something wrong in the process. A nice happy Green would be my preference. I like your text suggestion as well. It's very positive and reinforcing.
