100 Days

I never thought six months ago when I joined Wealthy Affiliate that I would become an Ambassador here, especially not after only being here for just under three months, let alone retain the title consistently for three months to reach 100 Days!

Yes, I know there are a lot of mixed feelings around the WA Ranking system, but I can honestly say that I have not gamed the system to reach this level. I am just an active member who likes to give back to the community, afterall, this is exactly what Kyle & Carson have built over the last 15 Years, a true Pay if Forward Community.

I love this place to bits, and I am not going anywhere too soon. I may not always remain an Ambassador, but the title doesn't bother me, as I never set out to reach this, and I am certainly not doing anything, specifically, to retain the title. I am just here to help you where I can.

Daily Activities

I have received comments in the past that I am blind sighted, which made me laugh, as the members who have said that have no idea who I am or what I do on a day to day basis. I work on websites daily, for both myself and my clients. My business is a success and I work from home.

I am not saying this to boast or anything, I am just saying that working from home and being successful, allows me to have Live Chat and the Home Dashboard open most days on a separate monitor, which has given me a nickname of Batman, as I swoop in to provide timely and, hopefully, accurate information.

I do not simply sit on my backside gossiping on WA trying to rank high.

This might sound like a rant, but it certainly wasn't intended that way, I just thought I would let you in on my day to day activities a little bit :-)

Helpful Or Not Helpful

If my time here, and the help provided, was not helpful or useful, then I would not be an Ambassador, as one of the main ranking metrics is your likes on my comments, answers, posts & training. I have never asked for your likes, but they are certainly very much appreciated, as that is my main driving force to keep going. When I produce training or posts that are not helpful, then you simply do not like them, which lets me know not to continue down that avenue. I can then focus my efforts on the training and posts that you do like, as that benefits all of us in this awesome community.

I have no idea if I will make 200 days, but if I do, then I will post again to give you an update.

Private Messages

I really do love you all, and I wish I could help everyone, but that is simply just not practical, so I will focus my efforts that will bring answers and solutions to the most members. I am, therefore, focusing the time that I do have here on answering Community Questions, producing Training & Posts, as well as keeping an eye on Live Chat where possible. That does, unfortunately, mean that I am still not on top of my Private Messages (PM's) here, and they have now crept over 100 unread messages.

Where possible, I am trying to spend about one hour per day going through these, but I am receiving more messages than I am able to answer on a daily basis. So that it is public knowledge, I thought I would let you know how I am prioritising my replies. This might be wrong, and it might need tweaking, but this is how I am currently dealing with them.

PM Priorities

I am responding to my referrals messages as a priority, as I am their coach, and they are in effect paying me to be their coach, so that makes the most sense.

I am then responding to members who I have asked to PM me, based on a conversation either in Live Chat or on their community asked question, where the information can't or doesn't want to be posted publicly, such as domain names or screenshots of sensitive information.

I will then be responding to all other messages when I have the time to do so.

Within that third category, I seem to get a lot of messages that could have been asked to the community, but where the member would like my take on it. Which is absolutely ok, and I even feel honoured that they think that highly of me.

Suggestion For Help

What I would like to suggest though, so that it helps as many members as possible, is that for these types of questions, could you please ask the community first, and then PM me the link to your question, so that I can respond publicly.

That way, if I am delayed getting back to you, your question will not go unanswered for weeks/months at a time, and other members who might be thinking the same will also be able to see/find your question, along with answers from the awesome community here at WA, along with my take on your question.

In effect, this will enable me to help one-to-many, rather than one-to-one, as I need to reserve my one-to-one time for my referrals.

This possibly sounds arrogant, and I really do apologies, but I am trying to reduce the number of casualties, so to speak, by directing my time and effort in the most appropriate places.

At the end of the day, I am just a volunteer who pays to be here, just like you, and I am not paid to provide support/advice.

Using BLUF

Another way to help members, and myself, to provide you with the best, and most efficient, answers, is to Ask Questions Using BLUF which I posted about here.

Don't Get Me Wrong

Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying that I will not help you, I am just trying to help as many people as possible, as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I hope that makes sense, and I really do apologies if I have offended anyone, and especially to those members who are currently sat in my PM Inbox.

You truly deserve the accolade of Ambassador because of the way you interact and help out in the Community.
I've learned a lot from your posts and trainings and the answers you give to Member's questions in the Classrooms.
I too have mixed feelings about the ranking system here at WA, especially as there are a small minority of 'Ambassadors' who only seem to have gained the title through gaming the rankings by, for example, 'answering' questions with things like 'That's a great question', 'xxxxxx has given you a great answer' or even 'Sorry, I don't know the answer'. There's a few in the Top 50/100/200 who do that as well.
I've never seen them actually give a proper answer to a question yet, but the ranking algorithm doesn't see that.
These people devalue Ambassadorship. They know who they are (as do the rest of us!) and if any of them feel a little embarrassed by reading this, that's not such a bad thing.
A title is just a title unless there is some substance behind the person who has it, and you can be an Ambassador for WA in the true sense of the word without actually having the badge, which is what I feel you've been with your invaluable contributions long before it became 'official'.

On a personal note, I think that members like you are a HUGE asset for WA! You are adding a lot of value to WA community.

Thank you Nellya, and I’m not 100% certain, I actually posted about it asking if anyone knew, because whatever it was, it took me from the mid twenties to the early tens. The only things I can think of are 1. I hit being here for 6 months, and 2. I was an Ambassador for 3 months.

Your Batman status is truly deserved, I have no idea how you manage to squeeze as much out of a working day as you do, all I can think is another of your super hero powers is to a/ slow down time
and or
b/ sleep for just 15 mins a day.

Joking aside I am pleased (for your own sanity) that you are prioritising your workload. I feel your mental health will inevitably suffer if you continued on the “hell raising” path. I know I mentioned this before so I don’t want to nag you....😗 We don’t want a “burnt out” Batman, nor an old and frazzled Bruce.

Huge well done on the Ambassador 100 day status. Amazed that anyone has anything remotely negative to say to or about you, but I guess that is the nature of human interaction, some people love to poke the Bees Nest even though the bees are just going about making honey.


By the way I watched your YT Vid, and I found it really engaging, I liked the easy way you pitched it and the easy to understand Chris & Jane animations, I would however have loved to have seen real Chris... 👀

Being only six months in WA and already an ambassador is a great achievement, specially in keeping it continuously for a hundred days. You deserve it Chrys, and I am sure one of the reasons why you are able to maintain your rank, it is your being very helpful to the community for providing a lot of useful training.
