My First Organic Comment

I got an organic comment the other day! I published an article, and shared it on Twitter and Instagram, and some time later I got some comments. One of them - I realized - was organic. I think that's pretty cool :-) Now that I think of it, I think I got another organic comment some time ago, I just didn't realize it at that time. Only two so far, but that is nice, it means that people are clicking on my websites, reading my content, and interacting.

Another astonishing thing is that although I have neglected one of my three websites over the last three weeks (my author page) that is the one website which has a great site health whereas, according to my dashboard, the other two's site health is still improving. I put in a lot of work in the other two, but the one that didn't get much effort is the one that's receiving attention. Funny, isn't it? Or perhaps it's the power of scocial media :-)

In my case, I believe that Twitter has been a great help for me, and Instagram is also growing. I've been forgetting about Pinterest, I always have to remind myself, but then I forget again ... I'm not crazy about Facebook, but I guess it's time to start using it more often.

I know that some people do not like social media - and I understand - but it is incredible how effective they can be. Twitter is a great tool - once you figure out how to use it, lol, it moves fast, and it took me a while to learn to use Twitter, but now I love it.

On Twitter you can really connect with people who are interested in or who are also active in your niche. I connected with lots of authors and readers (I'm an author) on Twitter. There is a lot of support among authors, such as promoting each other's work, reading and reviewing each other's books (if it's a genre of interest), participating in polls, get mentioned in "follow days" etc. You can also pin a tweet, so people who follow you can retweet that one. It's the first tweet that pops up on your profile.

While I'm still learning to use SEO, I find that social media is a wonderful tool. Like a website, it may take a while to build your followers, but it's worth it. Social media, don't neglect them.

I find social media the easy part. LOL.

Lol, me too ;-)

It's definitely worth doing social media, though I no longer bother much with FB as small businesses have been restricted so much unless you pay.

I agree, FB requires you to pay, and paid ads do not always have the desired effect. FB offers courses on how to place effective paid ads, but I still don't like it much either.

I get a far better reach with Twitter for free than I ever will on FB, even paid.

Me too, I love Twitter. It's my favorite social media platform. And I have gotten results there :-)

Thanks for sharing!
