Great post Christian. But, what if it's an exact keyword that other websites are not optimized for? In other words, what if google is showing the correct results, but there are no websites with the exact keyword phrase? Wouldn't that be a good thing? And how would you tell the difference?

really good info and that explains what i have been experiencing and i sale leads for Life insurance and one of my lead types is mortgage protection life insurance and when it is typed in all that come up are lead companies that sale leads for mortgage brokers (a completely different industry) I know why google thinks it know what they are looking for but it is giving completely inaccurate result for that keyword do you know of any way to fix this?

Just wanted to add something that I reminded my son who is considering this business and has a REAL problem with getting "sucked in"....(I think he inherited it from someone?)
It is nothing to fear. If you are going to take action and move on something like the internet then you are going to make mistakes.
An educated guess is only possible once you are educated and being able to say,.... been there & done that is not something you can fake for long.
True,..... it is a pain that you can get ripped off by people you will never be able to get you hands on but it is the nature of the game we are all playing here you need to accept it as much as you can,....and learn to avoid it.
The points laid out in this tutorial are a great place to start but YOU need to figure out what is acceptable to you and then move ONLY within those boundaries.
There is my 2 cents worth.
I think I have some more change in my pocket on this subject but I'm off to the beach with the family..............

I very nearly fell for one of these offers recently.
The ad suggested that I could be making over $1000 a week by buying their product for just $67.
It all seemed reasonable and very appealing and I must confess I was tempted...
I then clicked on the 'Affiliates' link at the botton of the ad.
The sales pitch there suggested that a commision per sale of $127 was quite normal and to be expected.
What? How could this be if the product was only $67?
I then spotted the 'Upsells'. Two of them totalling up to almost $200
I emailled the vendor asking if it was possible to make $1000 per week with just the $67 purchase alone or would it be necessary to purchase the upsells too.
Guess what? I'm still awaiting a reply!
