I have only selected 'Fitness' as my interest for providing page/post comments and feedback, but I have had anything but Fitness related sites and posts.

Is this because

Hi Chris, thanks for posting this question. I am learning from the answers of these awesome people. God bless you all

I agree with both MJLV and Phil. Keep the fitness interest but tick off some more interests that is ok for you, and just start providing site comments. Another interest you might tick off is health. Some fitness comments are requested in that category.

Hey, Chris!

Yes, what you suspect is probably right. (Like some of the other members here have already shared.)

The SiteComments platform tries to take into account your interests, in fact, you will get email notifications when comments are requested on a post tagged as one of your interests.

However, what usually happens is that you get "matched" with whatever blog posts are asking for comments when you log in. I mean, the program will try to show you content relevant to your interests, but if at the moment there are no requests that match your interests then it will show random posts.

Hope this answers your question,

Majo

Hi Chris,

It will depend on what is in the system and how that individual is giving back.It will also depend on what they think their category is.

However I probably started like you , then I thought no I am just going to comment as an average reader coming across the site. It was hard work but I got through them all and I actually learned more as a result. I was honest and if it was not my thing I said so but provided my thoughts. Afterall in the real world that is what happens. I get more comments back as a result.

Your call of course but I ended up finding the hardest way the most rewarding.

Great question! Phil

I agree with Phil. I just commented on a review for makeup. Although it is nothing I would ever search for, you get an idea of how other people write. It gives you clues as to what not to write and also what to write.
Also, checking other people's websites, gives you clues how to better yours.
It's all good.

hi Chris ... good question and yes, you're likely quite right in your own answer regarding the availability of various subject posts on line for comment ....
