New Affiliate Commission £10 And Hopefully A new customer.
This is a bit of a strange blog today. It has been around 10 months since my last commission and today I got a new one. For a £20 sale I made £10 and seriously it isn't really a huge deal. And I say this because the customer was my own Mother lol PATHETIC right? I can't make any sales so I get my own mother to buy one of my products.
What's worse (well not really I haven't exploited the fact I am her son) I paid with my own credit card. The whole thing was my idea, but this is nothing like logging in to one of my affiliate marketplaces and finding out I've made a sale💲 It is kind of patethic really on the face of it but afffiliate marketing is hard, and it takes time.
Although there is 'a method to my madness' (I am hoping) this product may actually do what is supposed to do. It is a Joint Health supplement and I was talking about this product in a conversation with my old girl earlier. She was saying about how bad her joints were and how badly it is affecting her mobility. So, anyway she said she would like to try this when I mentioned it, as I wrote a blog about this product about a month ago.
Now, I know this might sound bad but I bought this as I thought that if it works she might want another bottle, or 2, and not only this my step dad also has problems with his joints also. They are both in their 60's and I know the word crippling might be a strong one but if this product helps. They might be able to get a better quality of life and I can make some money.
I'm going to hell I know 😈 but actually if it works maybe it's not so bad after all. Maybe even a win win situation. My mum even said that if this helps she knows other people who would be interested. Also, here is my grand scheme - seeing as I have paid for this first bottle I have asked my mum to keep a record of her experience and again 🤞 if this works it creates a brilliant opportunity to share her story online, and maybe even make more money this way.
I mean I know the longer I continue to put the work in the more likely I am to see rewards but what I really would like to see is the actual quality of this brand. I have written a few article s about them now but this is a good opportunity I think to see if this product at least is some snake oil scam or the real deal.
I'm going to be ready to claim a refund if this plan don't work but it is good I think.
I have written a lot of reviews since January and it's all really recycled info. from other sources but now for once I can actually see one of these products in action and will be very interesting. But best of all this could be a very good opportunity to help people I know and boost my confidence in being a blogger for 2021 onwards.

Whilst this post / story has made me giggle, I think that there is genuine benefits to what you are doing . Your testing the products your reviewing! You have gained a customer! Your spreading the word!

Yes, I hope so and it could set the groundwork to do the same with other products in the future. We shall see.
Think of it as a test case, using your parents. Imagine the great blog post you can write if it helps them. Well worth the money for the research!
I thought perhaps this was a merchant on the CJ affiliate network. They require a sale every 6 months to remain active on their network, so I know quite a few affiliates who buy something through their own affiliate link just to keep their account active.
Yes, I do hope so. I think a lot of these reviews for health products online are missing this. I am honest I wouldn't trust every single product I've written about in the past but I do feel this company as a legitimate one. So, I'm hoping this can help.

An interesting twist but not sustainable surely.
Well, we will see Dave - where my next commission is coming from I don't really know. My goal at the moment is just to keep doing what I am doing. This is just a little experiment really (and I know this sounds bad) with my own mother as the guinea pig lol
