Update To Woocommerce Plugin

I have recently been trying to do Chris' (Teddy Bear) training for setting up a woo commerce store and have noticed when you install and activate the woo commerce plugin the layout has changed a small bit but is still easy to follow.

However when you get to the part where Chris shows you how to do the primary and secondary menu and he initially puts the pages in the Primary menu and then decides that he wants to move it and makes it the secondary menu so the pages then move, I have noticed that when you go to visit your site the pages on the primary menu are still there so you have them twice.

I can only think that they have updated the plugin and made it so that the pages go into your site automatically as shown in the image below.

I have tried and tried and tried to find out how I could remove them but when you go into menus and then into your primary menu they do not show up so I do not know where to go to take them off or if you even can take them off. If anyone knows or finds out how to to do it then please tell me. I have deleted websites and started again about 4 or 5 times now and I am ready to commit harry caray.

I kept thinking I was making a mistake and do not know how many times I have watched and followed the training. It seems though that I was doing it right all along, it had just changed because the plugin appears to have been updated.

So if anyone else is tearing their hair out because they are noticing the same thing then please be assured it is nothing you are doing wrong. The only thing is I have no idea how to sort it so have given up at the moment.

Hope you are all enjoying your week so far.

Thanks for this training

You're welcome Phil although this is not really a training just a blog to say that the woo commerce plugin looks like it has been updated and if you were to use the training the Chris (Teddy Bear) has made then you may think like I did that you had made a mistake but you haven't. I did let Chris know but I am not sure if he will change anything on his training. xx

Most good, I'll probably be using this plugin in the future.

You are welcome and I hope by the time you use it I will have a solution to my problem lol. xx

Nice post. Cheryl Thanks.

No problem and you are very welcome thank you. xx

thank you for sharing

You are welcome Abdul. xx

That's great, Cheryl!

It is and it isn't Roger. It is so annoying as I can't complete the training properly and it is driving me nuts. xx

I'm not getting any time to do my training.

Tell me about it Roger, I know exactly what you mean. Xx

Like today I'm running my errands. Then going to work.

Great.

No problem, you're welcome. xx

As long as the functionality is improved, this is a cloud with a silver lining Cheryl!

It doesn't solve my problem though Mike and therefore it looks silly to have them twice. I just wish I could find out how you can get rid of them or if you can take them away. xx

Good info...thank you.

No problem Michael, you are welcome. I just don't want others thinking the same that they are doing it wrong. It is just annoying though as I really want to take them out and have no idea how to.

Thanks for the heads up, Cheryl.

Randy

You're welcome Randy, you have no idea the amount of time I have stressed over this wondering what I had done that was wrong and then today I decided I would visit the site before I even put the menus in to see what was there and they were all there as in the image I put up.

I have been in everywhere trying to see if there was anyway you can take them out but I can't find anything. xx
