Never Forget Who And What Is Important To You
I am writing this blog today as a wee reminder to us all that we should never forget who and what is of great importance to us in our every day lives.
Getting yourself caught up in what you are doing and what you are aiming to achieve, meaning that everything and everyone else is pushed to the side is so very easy to do. This is never done intentionally, in fact, the very opposite. It is the simple things that just slip your mind.
Never forget to pick up that phone for just 5 minutes a day and call someone, it could be a family member that you haven't seen for a while or a friend who has maybe moved away and you have kept meaning to call but keep putting it off as you have once again become involved in something you look on as being more important.
I don't know how people here at WA feel, I always think that when you are young there is always the opportunity to be out playing with friends (there was no PlayStation, computers etc when I was young) or you saw a lot more of aunts, uncles and even cousins as the visitations between them and your parents was more likely than it seems to be as you grow up.
I think because we all grow up and go out to work, have families etc. we drift away from what we had before and live our lives totally differently. Therefore, it is the old saying that "Weddings and Funerals" are the place now where lots of families get together and then they spend ages with each other reminiscing about what has been happening in their lives.
I know I haven't been posting things on WA recently for various different reasons. However, I want you all to know that I will still always be thinking of you and wondering what you are up to at the minute. I don't like to think of it as "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" as it is never that way.
Well here we are at the start of yet another week so everyone have a good Monday and a great week and remember I am always thinking of you even when I am not here.

Yes, I agree with you we all need to do more to be with family and friends. Especially since the holidays are here and we get together besides weddings and funerals and we should stay in contact with each other more then we do.

We shouldn't have to just wait till special times in the year or weddings/funerals to all get together. It should be something that we just do without thinking about it. xxx
You are so very welcome it was my pleasure and I agree with you. We should just do it without thinking and just do it for no reason.
We shouldn't need a special occasion to get together especially family. Friends, I think get together anytime but the family doesn't and that doesn't make any sense to me.
But it goes back to making those choices and sometimes we make the wrong choice and it affects the rest of our lives.

Life is short and we sometimes don't stay in touch with people and suddenly they are gone. Family and friends are important.

Thank you and I was reading something about this and then with the time of year I realised that we do easily forget about keeping in touch with others just because everything just mounts up and up and you lose track of everything.

I like those Christmas stockings. This year Michael also gets one, a bit bigger than the one I have as he is a man.
Let us hope that 2019 will hold many weddings and few or no funerals.

I know, they are very glittery and christmassy. Don't tell me that this is the first year poor Michael has ever gotten a stocking. That's nice that you are giving him a bigger stocking because he is a man.

It is not that I do not love him but this will be only the 3e Christmas together. It suddenly dawned on me he has no stocking. Besides other presents his stocking will have some traditional Christmas sweets and a bottle of scent I like to smell, he never smells anything. Smell is absolutely wasted on him but at least my nose enjoys it.
By the way, if you love chocolate do not miss my last and sweet post.
