Minding Your Business
I really am getting rather fed up reading peoples blogs about what others are doing and how it is wrong and how they don't like it.
As you already know, there are ways to combat these things, you can report it as spam, you can block them, you can ignore them or you can do the best thing of all and that is to mind your own business.
How true is this?I know I will probably cause an outcry here but are these people actually doing you any harm. If they have a wish to get to Ambassadorship quickly and you do not then what is the problem.
I don't think it is a wise thing for a newbie to be up with the Ambassadors too quickly unless they have a great knowledge of what they are doing. Does the number you are ranking at in WA more important to you than having your site ranked in Google, I know that it doesn't to me,
When I welcome people to WA that have went Premium, I tell them about how great a community this is to be part off, while inside I think to myself "If only they knew about the backstabbing and bitching that actually goes on".
There is only a very small minority that I would say fit into this and these are the ones that seem to let what everyone else is doing get to them.
I found this quote tonight and think this is very appropriate for the ones that get that bee in their bonnet.
I suppose in a way I have one in mine, it is because we are all adults, we can speak for ourselves and we don't need to be told what we can and cannot say and do.
I have read people saying that they feel like leaving, if that is how you feel then that is what you should do. It will be your loss at the end of the day though and the ones who are actually minding their own business and getting on with what they are doing will be the winners.
If you can get it into your head that these people are not actually bothering you unless you are letting them then you can concentrate on getting on with things at your own pace and making your site awesome.
I know that there will be people here who I have offended but I really needed to get this off my chest as it was making me want to SCREAM OUT LOUD.

Yep, if you don't like it you can unfollow that person instead of railing on about how awful they are and adding another non-WA post!

You should probably be very careful. When you tell limited people about themselves they tend to band against you. Even if you're not talking about them they will take it as if you are talking about them.

The input of the group of people at Wealthy Affiliates is one of the best things about it. The goal of wealthy affiliate is to keep people paying the monthly or yearly fees. Everything else is secondary and supplemental to that motive. Kind of like insurance companies are in the business of collecting premiums and denying claims.
We are all paying customers of wealthy affiliate by choice period when someone leaves it affects the income of wealthy affiliate.
I respect you for being courageous enough to make this post.
Because this is something that really annoys me and I believe in what I have said here I am not that concerned. I always think that if you are not happy about something then change it but don't stay and moan about others.

There is definitely bullying going on and I fear a vast majority do not know about it. I applaud your courage as well and may this be brought to the attention of more members.
To react to something is a choice we are making and I think we should always write positive stuff that helps people. If something is not to your liking, you do not have to react. Just ignore it or criticise it with your viewpoint, but no hatemails please.

Update: From what I see, the bullying is getting worse, especially these few days, and it took place because some people have this power within WA. They have tons of followers who can be easily instigated to do some stuff, they might have a high ranking, so people are beliving that whatever they did is right, and gave them support. The ones being attacked don't even have the means to protect or defend themselves. I see a major flaw in this system and I feel there should be a serious investigation and revamp.
Once about 18 months ago, there was a post about Cyberbullying that I just happened to pull up on a monitor at a Toastmasters Meeting. Which appeared on 6 40 inch monitors for all to see and laugh at. There were 6 lawyers sitting up front who all said the example from WA was Cyberbullying. There were many replies which really hurt WAs Reputation in that body. They were all emotional Buddy-Buddy replies without legal knowledge. It did not bother me in the least but for sure I don't mention WA around my professional associates anymore.
Oh thats really bad to hear. Even if this is going on, did these people get their facts right first before having a laugh about it? Cyberbullying is serious and should not be reduced to just a matter for ridicule. Investigations should be made and things should be put right. Sorry for the rant... just my 2 cents worth.

Very well said and I think it represents how most of us feel. Nobody is forcing anybody to open emails and read WA blogs. And Kyle and the group do a good job of monitoring things. So. Thanks for sharing your feelings on this. Debbie
Thanks Debbie, glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. It's different if you are nearly at Ambassadorship (where you want to be) and they jump in before you or if you are getting pestered or annoyed by them but if they are just going about their business then just let them be. xx

Well said Cheryl, the key to the online world is to worry about what you are doing as an individual, run your own race. Focusing on our own purpose will bring its rewards, focusing on the purpose of others is an extreme waste of your time.
