Is There Ever A Right Time?
We are fast approaching the end of October, another month in the year finished. All too soon it will be
Being a lover of all things Christmas, I just can never wait to start watching the Christmas films, writing my cards, wrapping my presents and best bit of all listening to the Christmas tunes.I was tidying up my kitchen one afternoon last week and couldn't resist putting on a favourite CD from a favourite band of mine. It was Good Old Fashioned Christmas from The Overtones (any newbies will probably have no idea what I am going on about). I had a good old singalong to Santa Claus is Coming To Town, Let it Snow and my favourite song that is their own on the album which is the albums title.
So everyone, I wanted to ask you all:
Christmas songs? What do you all think? Do you have a favourite Christmas song that you love to listen to and when do you start listening to your favourite song?
I thought I would also share some Christmas humour with you too as I am in that kind of mood today.
So enjoy the rest of your week everyone, fit in a wee Christmas tune now and again lol and

You are very welcome Mick and glad to know I have put you in the mood for some Christmas music lol.
You enjoy it Mick. xxxx
I enjoyed your post, Cheryl.
I love Christmas music and do not understand those who complain about it. Many do just that!
I'm not all that keen about writing cards these days. But, all other Christmas activities and creations, I do enjoy.
Hi Valerie, hope you are well and everything is going great for you.
I'm the same and I would listen to it all year round. In fact there are times when I am in myself and I listen to all my music even the Christmas songs if they come on lol.
I agree, don't know why so many people complain about the songs as there are a lot of good Christmas songs. There are some rubbish ones too.
I love nothing better than sitting with a good film on and writing my cards. Normally I have them done by now but not this year. Won't take me long though.
I love your energy, Cheryl.
Enjoy writing those cards. I can imagine the pleasure your friends and family get from receiving your Christmas greetings.
It's Halloween today, and I'm expecting my 5-year-old great-grandson to arrive with his family, very soon. I know he is going to be dressed in a skeleton outfit. Seems to be the Halloween flavour this year in NZ. Two young ones, accompanied by possibly a grandparent, came tricking and treating about an hour ago. One in a skeleton outfit, the other a beautiful fairy outfit.
Oh, to be young again :)
Cheers :) 👩👩👧👦 🦋🐤
Cheez! Christmas cartoons have even invaded the internet. Glad you are looking forward to the gay season. It is my time of work, since I sell jewelry and gifts, but that is okay too. It means people give me money at Christmastime.
Get the Christmas music playing while you are selling your items and you will draw in lots of people who love Christmas.
Thank you for your comment. xxxx
The only real sale I have is the Juneau Public Market, which is the 3 days after Thanksgiving. They play Christmas music most of the time; even have live entertainment one afternoon, of course doing Christmas music. 'Twill be fun.
Good Morning Cheryl,
I have started to think about Christmas and what card we need to make. For the people who have no internet, I will send one by mail and we need to have this card printed in the village.
Last year I wrote a little WA post. Included you will find my favorite song. Silent Night, Holy Night, a 200 years old Christmas Carol Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske
Hi Taetske, hope you are doing well.
Thank you for your comment and I hope you don't have too many cards to write. I take it you make your own then.
I have just read your blog from last year and left you a comment. I will go back and listen to the song when I can get peace to hear it properly. xxxx
Good Morning Cheryl,
It is true that in this internet age one sends and receives less Christmas cards. The ones I do receive I always hang on the main entrance door, that looks festive.
The Wiener Sangerknaben sing divine. At the age of 15 years, I was in Wien for my birthday and assisted at one of their concerts, something you will always remember.
Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

It is nice to look forward to Christmas, Cheryl, for the overall feel-good factor, but it is a commercial cash bonanza Alan
It is sad that it is more about the cash these days rather than the true spirit of Christmas and there are so many people who are ungrateful at what they receive. It is very hard now to buy presents for people as most people have everything.
Apart from that though I love Christmas, the music, the films, attending Christmas lunches and party nights. Meeting up and spending time with family and friends. xxxx
