You may or may not already know that Instagram have added an enhanced comment filter that can help to spot words or phrases that could be offensive and challenging.

Today it was announced by Instagram that they are intending to follow suit by using the AI also to include photos and captions. It intends to use the AI to "proactively detect bullying" prior to letting content be sent to moderators who are human beings for revising.

This new feature will be rolled out to Instagram users in the next few weeks just in time for the launch which is at the same time as October's National Bullying Prevention Month held in the US and before the UK's Anti-Bullying week. Instagram are also adding this technology to live videos in order to filter comments there too.

As the trust in Facebook keeps falling, Instagram appears to now be the main item in the product line-up for the company. Instagram is both profitable and popular and as yet, has not faced the same problems as Facebook or been tainted either by the indignities that have hurt Facebook. Therefore, by having the help of AI to remove any content that could be offensive as well as still making Instagram a place that gives out good vibes is very important.

It has been stated by Instagram, that as well as making sure they analyse captions for photos, to detect any bullying, they are also going to analyse the actual photo as well. The sort of things that AI will be looking for are images that are split screen as they can be seen as potential bullying. This comes about because there could be one person who is compared negatively to another.

There has been no other indications as to what else the AI will look. Considering that after Facebook said that it was going to use AI to scan memes, this will be a good idea as there were a lot of people trying to think how they could get around the filters.

As well as introducing these new filters, there will also be the launch of an effect named "kindness camera". The way this works, while you are using the rear camera, there will be Special effects that fill the screen along with a "kind comments in many languages" overlay. Once you change over to your front-facing camera, you receive a shimmer of hearts plus a polite message remembering you to "tag a friend who you want to support.

So everyone there you are, more AI being used for detecting bullying.

Here we are at the middle of the week yet again. Enjoy the rest of your week everyone and have a great Thursday everyone.

Thank you. I have just become so irritated at Facebook because of the single fact that Zuckerberg has become a Billionaire and can't even add a live HELP section to his application is far beyond my compression. Everyone that REALLY cares about their products put live educated HELP made available to their Users that made them that money.
And I am not that Social that I want to set around all day answering all these Social sites. I prefer to attract people to my sites from other like sites. Kind of like the Caveman and the Club in the Jet Age. But I get confused if I get too much going on.

Thanks Cheryl. Now that Instagram is my new best friend I like to keep up with all the changes. Jim

Great info. What up with Google plus, I heard they were going to shut down. Is this true?

Great info. Thanks, Sis!

Thanks for sharing that tidbit. I'm glad. I get tired of people feeling like they can verbally beat another up behind a computer screen.

Thanks for sharing, Cheryl.

Love your gifs! ... ⭐️

... on a more serious note -- balance is key -- sounds like it's a fine line between that & a form of censorship -- freedom of expression & speech are being taken for granted and only when it's taken away will people realize what they've lost ... cautionary tale ... when there's action, there's also re-action ... just a thought ...
... enjoy a beautiful day!

thanks kindly for sharing & posting, cheerio... 😊
