Explain This If You Can
I decided to do a site rank check on Jaaxy this morning and below is the result.
I then decided to check Google the way I was once advised by doing it while not being signed in, again below is the result.
Now, what do you think of the result?
I finally decided to go and check it while using incognito and here is the result from that one too.
So as you can see on the two bottom results, they both show I am on Page 1, position 1 but on the top image from the Jaaxy Site Rank it claims that for the same keywords I am on Page 1, position 6.
Am I right to be confused by this or is this quite familiar? I just think it is a strange thing to see but these things don't really make any sense when trying to figure them out.
I am interested to see what you all think about this one lol.

Have you tried the same in google.com ?
Sometimes when you try to access google.com from the UK it defaults back to .co.uk but there is a link to click to take you back to the .com site.

Jaaxy is most likely USA based and you are in UK. Different countries show different results in the search engines. You probably get a lot of dot co dot uk results when you search for things which I don't get because I'm in Australia. I get dot com dot au.

just had a quick look and with your full title i see you on page 1 position 1.
But would you really search for that full title or would you search for 'black friday deals on the kindle', which unfortunately puts you slightly lower.
I do hope you geat a lot of response from it.
Can't explain the difference with jaaxy - except putting a '-' may affect the result as this is a special search term character.
just tried it in google and made no difference.

Just checked and even that shortened version is not too competative.
But i didn't find you in the first four pages on google.
Do you use something like lsigraph to find associated keywords to drop into your text? these are what google likes.
Always think like your visitor, what will they search for? how will they search ? will they use all of the words?
Ask friends if they were looking for xx what words would they use.
It is very easy to get excited when searching for your post, but what counts is the few weeks after promoting it - do the organic visitors arrive - if not why not.
With your post specifically for bf then this is a little different, you only have a very short window of opportunity, it may be worth adding the year in the future so people see that it is releveant to this year. Although in this case it gave less people looking for that!
Thanks Phil, I used Jaaxy for this and found the first part but then just added the other part on the end without really thinking about it. I really think on how I myself would search for things on Google and go down that line.
I will ask people how they search google though and see what sort of thing they look for. xxx

Checking for the full title doesn't guarantee that others will do the same.
It is sure to put you on the first page if unique enough, but that doesn't mean much if no one else is searching for it.
Feigner is correct.
Your keyword research for effective long-tail words has to be the probable phrase someone will search for.

Once you have found your keyword then put that into lsigraph.com and see what else it comes up with - sometimes good other times bad.
These are all google associated keywords, which can add points to your ranking.
It puts me on page two most of the time, searching at least two different ways.

Different algorithms? Who knows. Ranking, like life, can be a mystery. I would tend to believe the top results and enjoy the success.
