I spent a lovely day with my mum yesterday. We went for lunch and then we did a little shopping which was very relaxing.

Two weeks today, my best friends son it getting married and as I had nothing yet to wear, I thought that I should perhaps go and look for something. I managed to get a lovely dress and I already had nice sandals that would go with it, I didn't need to worry about getting shoes.

It was so nice and relaxed as the centre we went to wasn't really busy which was nice. As well as picking up my dress, I also got a lovely card and present but will also give them money so that is now all taken care off and I just have to wait for the big day now.

However, while out shopping I also managed to pick up a christmas present for my cousin's wee girl. I got it now while I have plenty time as it needs to be sent to Australia and will need to be sent early so it gets there in time. I did also pick up some lovely calendars but to go into shops and already see that they have started putting out the Christmas cards and other bits and pieces really does bring it home just how close it is and how fast the year is going.

To all my lovely friends in the US, hope you are all having a great Labour Day weekend. I love the Billy Joel song with the words about the Labour Day parade and I cannot remember now what it is called.

Enjoy your day, your month and

Good for you Chez, making time for ourselves is so important and many of us don’t do it enough! But you still take time to spot gifts and think of others!

You are a very thoughtful and caring person as we know!

Wonderful Post and thank you for sharing my friend.

Wayne

Awww thank you Wayne, you are very welcome and you know me well friend.

Just the way I am, and I will always be the same, thinking of others first and myself last. Hope things are going fine with you at the moment and you are getting nearer to a finish.

Still missing you on here Mr so hurry up and get back regularly. xxx

Hi, Wayne. Hope things are going better for you.

I have sold my house and moved into an apartment. Had to find a new home for George (my cat, not a guy, unfortunately!) Found him a nice home with an old lady who rescues animals. We were greeted by five dogs with their tails wagging when we pulled up. He will have a whole mountain to explore, and will be much happier than he would be here, where there is too much traffic, and he could get hit by a car.

My dog, Leia, and I are adjusting to apartment living. I've been on my own for so long and not in an apartment since 86, so it has been an adjustment to having to worry about bothering other people if Leia barks or I practice my part for the community chorus. We are starting rehearsals tonight for our Christmas concert, which will be the first Sunday in December.

Take care.

Carol

Thanks for sharing, Cheryl.

No problem Roger, you are very welcome. xxx

Hey Cheryl,
Glad to hear you had a great shopping trip yesterday. OMG, Chrismas is close. Too close for me!!!

Tried and True

Elaine

Thanks Elaine, you are welcome and yes unfortunately, Christmas is close. My favourite time of year Elaine. xxxx

Glad you had such a good time, Cheryl! I'm sure you'll look fabulous in that dress you showed us!

Thank you Carol, it was nice to spend time with my mum. Unfortunately that is not my dress, it is just an image of a dress as I was looking for a free photo of dress shopping. I have a blog in mind for today and will put up a photo of the dress I got so you can see it. xxxx

I didn't really think that was your dress, Cheryl. Just couldn't resist a chance to tease you a little. Looking forward to seeing the real deal when you get your post written, though. I know it's so much fun to put together a new outfit for a special occasion.

I closed on my house on Friday and am in the apartment, but far from unpacked and settled in yet. There's not much storage here (no linen closet) so I've been shopping for pieces of furniture that fit spaces where I need to keep things.

My little sister came up and helped me pick out some things a couple weeks ago. We had a blast, as we always do when we're together!

I wish it was Carol but I will not give anything away about the blog as I don't want to ruin it for you lol.

Just take it a day at a time Carol and do a little each day and you will soon get there.

Nothing worse when you lose a lot of your storage space but you will buy wisely I am sure.

I often wish that I'd had a sister but I only have my brother and he is in Brisbane so never see him. Glad to hear that you had a blast with your sister. xxxx

No, I wouldn't want you to spoil the surprise. I got an idea. I lost my older sister when she was only 51. Shall I adopt you so you'll have one?

Sorry to hear that about your sister Carol. That would be lovely from now on we are sisters ok. xxx

Sounds like a plan to me, Sis!

Good Sis. xxx

TeeHee! When we were kids we were a pair (Sheryll and Carol) with a spare (my little sister, Kaye). Got that back now, even with the same name. How uncanny can that be! Welcome to the family, even if you do spell your name "wrong"!

A toddle and a brew. What could be better Cheryl!?

Well a nice glass of wine may have just finished it off but my mum's not a wine drinker so that was out of the question. But we were happy with what we had. xxxx

A nice relaxing day for you Cheryl. Hope you enjoy the wedding.

Derek

Thanks Derek, it was a nice relaxing day and I am sure I will have great fun at the wedding. xxx

Beautiful! ... have a joyous time at the wedding -- thanks kindly for sharing... all the best, cheerio... :)

Hi Keisha, I most certainly will have a great day and you are very welcome. Unfortunately that is not my dress, wish it was but never would I get into that lol. xxxx

gosh -- dress looks lovely on the mannequin! ... lol .. me neither then ... :o ... time for more exercise and eating less ! ... learned a long time ago that one can pretty much eat anything -- it's all in the portion size -- i.e. tennis ball size of spaghetti = one portion ... could never go there with spaghetti portion sizes ... lol .. :)

Good evening Cheryl

Is Christmas that close already? How time flies. Have a great wedding and the dress looks lovely!

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Evening Taetske, yes unfortunately it is. Time flies so fast.

I will do but unfortunately that's not my dress lol, I would never be able to wear anything like that as I am not tall enough. xxxx

Extreme high heels perhaps?

Stilts would be a better idea lol. xxx

Sounds like a successful shopping trip all the way around, Cheryl. Congrats on all of your WA and online accomplishments! I wish you a productive week and month as well. :)
Colleen

It was Colleen, thank you and I will certainly need it lol.

I am now following you back here at WA and wishing you all the best on your journey here at WA. xxxx
