Christmas Music & Films

As you all know, at the beginning of the week it was Gavin and Euan's birthday.

Now being a person who loves Christmas, I love when it gets to this time of year. This is my time as I love to listen to the Christmas songs and have a good old singalong while doing things in the house.

I also love to stick on a Christmas film such as Elf and as a family we all watch it and reminisce when he is in New York as we sit there and go "we were there" or "we went in there" lol. Now when we first spoke about going to New York, everyone else wanted to go about September when it would be warmer apart from me as I wanted to go and see the Macy's Day parade.

This all came from another Christmas film that is set in NYC and is another one I love. I know it is not the original version but I don't mind. You will probably all know that the film in question is in fact Miracle on 34th Street. The film starts with the parade but the Store is not called Macy's but is however Cole's.

We now have less than four weeks and this time for me will be a time of listening and watching all things Christmas and I can't wait. In fact, I had the Christmas music on earlier today when I was tidying the kitchen.

Is there a Christmas film that you would say is your favourite. The ones we always sit and watch as a family are Elf, Home Alone, A Wonderful Life and Love Actually to name a few.

As we are once again at Friday, the end of another week and another month, I hope you all have a good weekend and a great month. I hope you all have your Advent Calendars ready for the morning.

Yes, it is a fun season. I've always been fond of the grinch.

You big kid Cheryl, yep good time of the year. Of course we in Oz
are having some scorching times, fires & floods, pretty weird.

My dear old Magna is now 18yrs old and the 2nd air con has
gone bust. I don't think I should spend any more money on it.
Today windows down, home safe but hot and wet.

I love the Home Alone Movies. I'll have to sneak in and see what the grandkids are watching.

Looks like it's business as usual for you? Good work.

Cheers Jae ♥♥♥

Just a big kid at heart Jae lol. Xxx

I love all the Christmas movies I try to catch all of them when I can but I am busy so it is hard to catch all the movie. I also love Christmas music too. Christmas is my holiday because I love Christmas.

I love everything about Christmas.

I have been watching Christmas story’s on Net-flex since last week, I love Christmas and getting into the Christmas spirit I love the golden oldies and there are some very good new ones that have come out. Best of all I love the Nativity and moves about our Lord. I think all my life that has been my fascination. I didn't know how much until I started teaching Bible school to 8 to 11 year olds. I didn't realise how they came alive for me teaching to youngsters. Like watching moves and then tell the moves to others they seem to come alive. I enjoy it and so do the kids.
Merry Christmas Cheryl
sending blessing your way

You might want to get with kaju on this one Cheryl. May
be the NYC Symphony Orchestra can get involved!

Good evening Cheryl,

It is a bit difficult to get into the Christmas spirit as we have 20C.
Recently went to a nativity museum, absolutely lovely, will get you the link.
Looking forward to our visit to Malaga to see the Christmas illumination.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Hey Cheryl,
I don't know that I have a favorite because I like a lot of Christmas movies. Mostly anything either about a small town or with a plot/ meaning. That is just about all the movies lol.

I can't bring any particular Christmas film to mind but, like you Cheryl, I love all things about Christmas, including the Christmas music played in shopping malls! I hear so many people complain about the constant sound of Christmas music, so hard to understand!!.

It's the 1st of December here. Enjoy the lead up to Christmas Day, Cheryl :) xox

The Grinch was my favorite as a youngster. My all-time favorite has to be A Christmas Story. The scene in the Chinese Restaurant is priceless.
