Another Year Almost Over
Here we are almost at the end of yet another year.
Recently I have been noticing and reading blogs asking what people's resolutions and goals are for the year ahead.
Do not worry, as this is not another one of those blogs because I do not believe in setting resolutions when I know that I will just break them so there really is no point. I never really set long term goals for myself either.
My own personal goals are just to get through each day and do as much as I can both in life and at Wealthy Affiliate.
I certainly don't want to have a repeat of 2017 for one reason or another but do look forward to spending another year here together will all the good friends that I have made here in this great community and continually learning and enjoying what I am doing here at WA.

Yummy Stefan. What time is it beside you at the moment as it is 11.03 pm here in the UK and when you said about 1 minute till another day was over, I thought surely that can't be the time already lol.

That's life, Cheryl. I was widowed in the year 2000.
I had my share of New Year parties when my husband was alive.
Anyway our main TV channel is partying at mid-night, so I'll watch that for a while, and look forward to a bright new year. xox
Awww sorry to hear that Valerie, I am sure you enjoyed all your parties with your husband. Sometimes though it is nice to have a quiet time at New Year as well though.
We will be the same tomorrow night though, but the TV beside us is rubbish after 11.30 pm lol. xxxx
Yes, I have a lot of happy memories of New Year parties, especially the last one with my husband. It was welcoming the new millennium, an exciting time and somewhat anxious time.
I was working in school administration, and I remember that prior to the turn of the century computer technicians were paid to do some type of programming on the computer system so that computers would continue to function with the move from one century to the next. Quite unbelievable, looking back! There also was a lot of talk about airplanes falling from the sky. It's amazing how ignorant humans were 18 years ago, in respect to technology.
To finish off this little story, it is important to be thankful for what we have in the moment we live in. Little did I know at that New Year's party it would be the last one to share with my husband.
And, NZ television is usually rubbish at midnight, New Year. But this year we are promised a lively party, commencing at 11.55 pm.
I'll see what happens.

I remember the millennium approaching and how everyone was anxious about what would happen with technology. I remember all the software for the computers in our offices having to be reprogrammed to make sure they were ok for us going back after the Christmas and New Year holidays.
That must have been so nice to bring in the millennium at a party with your lovely husband.
Well I really hope that your tv does give you the lovely party they have promised and I hope you will bring in the New Year with a glass of something sparkly.

I haven't set any New Year resolutions in decades. Most do with losing weight or to quit smoking, both very hard to do.
My main goal is to keep up with my website as I have been this year and carry it to 2018. Continuing to commit to something awesome I thought I could never do. I'm excited about this.
I'm glad to be here at WA knowing special people, and of course you are one of them :D
