Amazon Advertising
This morning I was playing about and trying to get the Amazon OneLink to work as I followed it as it said to but for some reason when I put the code into where it said, all it gave me was the code not what I wanted it to say.
Anyway getting back to what I originally was going to tell you. While I was looking at Amazon.com, I decided to look at the Banners and Links section and I found some new links and banners that I thought may be interesting to you.
I think that these sound a good idea to have on your site.
The first one is in the banners and is called:
The Set and Forget Banners
These are new Seasonal banners that automatically update based on the relevant seasonal promotions based on the holiday and/or the category. All you have to do is copy and insert the code into your site only once and Amazon will automatically display whatever the latest events and offers for the season and there is no updates needed to be done in the future.
The Set and Forget Categories
- Amazon Prime - Exclusives
When you go into the Set and Forget Banners, you will also come across the Set and Forget Categories as shown above. You then click where it says Amazon Prime (in Amazon this is an actual link) which takes you to where you get the code to put in your site. I have put this code in but nothing is showing up so I am not sure if it is not working or if there is nothing to show yet.
I also came across the Links that are listed below.
Promotional Links
Here we have an item known as Easy Links.
Easy Links (again this is an actual link) when you are in Amazon.
This allows you to receive directly to your site any rotating promotions as well as/or any announcements. When you click on the link above, it takes you to the code and sizes that you need for the banners/links.
Gift Cards (actual link in Amazon.com)
When we click on the above link, it takes us to the code and the banner designs and sizes, so we can then go ahead and promote the Gift Cards on our sites. A very good idea if you are looking for a present.
Below you can see that there is information on another new item which is known as the
Rotating Banner Campaigns by Category
These new Rotating Banner Campaigns consist of sets of banner adverts which are high-performing. This means that every time someone views your page, then the actual displayed creative banner is chosen from the rotating banner set.
Listed below are the different categories that are used in Rotating Banner Campaigns.
- Amazon MP3
- Electronics
- Home Page Link (2016)
- Home Page Link (2017)
- Kindle
- Music & Entertainment
- The Domino Project Books.
Unfortunately, the Set and Forget Banners are not available in the Amazon Associates.co.uk but the Promotional Links and the Rotating Banner Campaigns are both available in the UK.
I do hope that you find these links worthwhile and will use them on your site.

Just couldn't resist popping over to Amazon to have a peep and now I have one of their banners on my site. Very easy to do.
I couldn't wait until tomorrow . Work / life balance must do better but it is too tempting to try new things.

Unfortunately Karen, they are not available for the UK, just seems to be America. However you can become an affiliate for the US which would then give you access to the Set and Forget ones.
If people then go through that link in the US then you still get the commission. xxxx
Thank you for this info, Cheryl. I just recently re-signed with Amazon Affiliates as my 180 days lapsed without the requisite 3 sales. I will have a closer look at these. I really like the Set and Forget Banners and Set and Forget Categories. Thanks again, Cheryl.
