All Over For Another Year
Well here we are at Boxing Day and Christmas is all over for another year.
All the hype, parties, lunches, present buy and present wrapping as well as all the fretting we do while wondering what we are going to buy for our friends and families.
We also then put a lot of stress on ourselves to make sure everything goes with a bang. This year I had a very big senior moment, I forgot to buy some presents that I would normally buy, I forgot to get myself a nice Tablecloth and Napkins as I like my table to be nice and our day didn't go with the usual customary bang as I forgot to get
Needless to say, the lack of crackers didn't ruin our day. We had a beautiful dinner with great company. It was very relaxed and there was great chat and good laughs all round.
So, we can go through all the emotions in the lead up to Christmas and within a few hours of time with friends and famiy, exchanging presents, enjoying each other's company, sharing good food and drink it is all over and we forget all about this day till next year.
I hope everyone has had a stress free, relaxing lead up to Christmas. I hope you all took heed from my previous blog and just left out the white stuff for Santa to drink and no alcoholic tipple instead.

Glad you had a nice time in spite of your senior moment, Sis. I had a nice Christmas supper with a couple friends who also don't have family near. Didn't do the traditional turkey or ham, though....did a pot roast and veggies in the crock pot. Lots easier and more time for me to enjoy my guests that way!
That's good Carol, yes it was a nice chilled relaxing day. Glad you had a nice day too. I don't get away with things like that though as my lot always stick to tradition when it comes to dinner. Mind you I am not so bad in that Davie and Euan did the cooking. xxx
That's so nice. I have a friend who was a chef in the Navy and Coast Guard for 20 years, and he usually cooks for me on holidays. This year I wanted to treat him, and cooked for him instead. He's definitely a better cook than I am!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time with family and friends.

Hey Cheryl,
Now that Christmas is past my holiday celebrating time is just beginning. I have my brother-in-laws birthday on the 26, ex husband's birthday on the 28, and son's birthday on the 30. Then of course there's the New Year celebration's too
I don't relax until about January 4th. lol
