Put your video on YouTube and set it to Unlisted. Then include a link to the video URL in your message
There's no need to send a video via email. You can put the video on YouTube then embed it in a post on your website and include the link to the post in the email. Embed YouTube Video in WordPress
Possibly do it another way.........put a link in your e-mail to your website and do it there. Do you have a YouTube channel?
I don't think it would matter, would it Trish? A video is a video, as long as he has properly credited it? Linking first to his website though drives people there which is actually what we are trying to make happen.

You can use a tool called 7zip, it is freeware, with this tool you can split up your bigger file in smaller pieces, I recommend max 2-3mb per email.

Twenty Thirteen is the default theme of WP and should not be edited unless you know how to build a child theme to make some extensive changes, Although you can use a custom css plugin.
You could always ask for help in the community from members who use the Twenty Thirteen theme.
