I am finding myself very time poor (or disorganised) and feeling very guilty when I delete friends' blogs from my email notifications. How much time do I spend "Paying it forwar

One thing that help me is I do my work in the morning. Writing blogs, adjusting my website anything technical that need fixing. Then at night I do the less mental tasks like communicating with people or handling email. Seems to work for me "Time is not short, Only life is"

HI, I used to get overwhelmed with a lot of the emails (follows, discussions, blogs, etc.) that I've lost track of time as soon as I sit in front of my Mac. Now, I'm choosing the time for thanking my followers, sharing blogs and setting time for my 'pay-it-forward'. In short, I am the captain of my online business now. Time management is the answer.

Thanks to all who left a comment and made me feel better. I do get drawn in when I read the blogs. I will take your advice Labman and switch off the email notifications, just for a little while. I mean, eventually these sites will run themselves right ;)
Thanks again guys, appreciate the great support here always.
Jo

Labman gave good recommendation. I personally try to spend some time at WA commenting or helping folks every day BUT most of the time I focus on my site. Otherwise you will never succeed.

G'day, Chelletrina,

That is an excellent question! And I can relate to it

The answer given by Labman is spot on! Which I follow. And, if I may also provide a quote to ponder on:

"It is not your role to make others happy; it is your role to keep yourself in balance. When you pay attention to how you feel and practice self-empowering thoughts that align with who-you-really-are, you will offer an example of thriving that will be of tremendous value to those who have the benefit of observing you.

You cannot get poor enough to help poor people thrive or sick enough to help sick people get well. You only ever uplift from your position of strength and clarity and alignment." --Abraham

All the best. See you at the top!

PS Don't forget to drop in to the restaurant for a cuppa, if you are in Perth, WA.

Ey Jo! It took me a long time to get some layers of skin and find the proper balance. My rank at one time was down in the 50's... now, well, you can see. While it was in the 50's, the things that contributed to my development were training, the nuts and bolts, not motivational stuff or touchy feely stuff. The people that I admire the most are obvious in making their site development their priority and have discovered where their priorities truly are. The first time that I made a commission on my affiliate site, I got most of your question figured out pretty quickly!

You and family should always come first they are your lifeblood. Perhaps if you spend much time on FB or other media site you could utilize that time on WA.

There are also times you can just sit down without the computer and maybe put pen and paper to use to bash out some ideas and thoughts which can also work out well.

Even getting some family members involved where possible. Remember paying it forward is truly wonderful and kind of your to do so but the main aim is to get your website up and running as well.

You can always spend 1/2 hour on emails if there are unanswered do them the next day. We all understand that we can be here 24/7 so don't fret if you have a few emails left over.

Take care be well.

Andre

Hi Chelletrina

I try to spend half an hour or so on WA checking out people, posting comments and such. It's easy to get drawn in as there are so many fun people in here (and so much to learn) but you do have to discipline yourself so try to just do half an hour every day if you can - or every other day if that's still too much and you have a lot of other stuff to do. At least then you're still involved in the community without sacrificing too much time. Hope that helps.

Always put yourself first. WA will be here when you have time. Don't feel beholding to the membership here.

Many folks only come in occasionally to decompress or check out the tutorials. If you are feeling that there aren't enough hours in the day, minimize your time here and focus on getting your sites earning.

You can even get pro-active and visit the account settings and turn off the email notifications to minimize the emails.

I'd be really interested to hear any tips or shortcuts people have found or used to help them identify scams on the Internet. Thanks in advance. Jo :)

Here is what I do

Above my computer I have a piece of paper and it says this

There are no people in the world that wake up in the morning and say; "I want to make someone else rich today"

It helps keep you hand away from the mouse when your emotions are screaming "this could be the quick route to success, that I have been waiting for all my life"

Barry

G'day Barry,
Love your take on this, will write out my piece of paper now :)
Peace
Jo

Reviews are the best tool, I have never been scamed. When I was seeking for information about ways to make money online I entered one of these sites that promise big money in short time, fortunately I found a review about that site compared to WA, and as a result of that I am a member of WA.

I agree alexisnilo, reviews do make it easier to sift through the offers available. I'm glad you found your home thanks to a review :)
Jo

Simple hit Warrior next to the product name and read all the reviews what's coming up on the first page.I was looking for the Roi Optimization from Source Wawe got the review of Vitaly / Premium Member of WA / and i was totally agreed with the review. This is just how I got the page of your community yesterday!

That is great, welcome to the WA community :)
Peace
Jo

I have not been a victim of internet scams. I guess I have been lucky. I tend to delete most of the emails I get and I will just purchase something once in awhile for someone I know is high integrity.

Hi Amy, I'm glad you've never been a victim of those scams. I tend to use the same few sellers on sites like ebay because I know they'll look after me :)
Peace
Jo

Yea, I'll add my voice to say that If it promises insane amounts of money in little time with no work on your part, that's a red flag for a possible scam.

Like some of the others, I too have been a victim of quite a few of these in my internet sojourn.

It's hard to not get caught out with so many operating Dan but you make a strong point. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Thanks for stopping by :)
Jo

If they are registered for only one year and there is no contact information such as name, phone number or address.

Great tip :)

I find the best idea is to know who I can trust and make sure that their claims are not too far fetched. There are many good companies out there. Just focus on looking at companies that have what you are most interested in. I love natural healing and healthcare so it was very natural for me to join the company that I am involved with.

Good points you make there Susan. Thank you.

I have a few criteria the very first being any system or tool or program or product that has the appearance of Hey look over here if you want to make 6,545.00 dollars a day starting today then enter your name and email here and we will send you an invitation to a video that will show you how to do this, RUN! That's my first clue as to what it's all about and what I am going to find on the other side of their video. There's more but that's a good indication right there.. Blessings..

LOL...absolutely agree Jaxton. Those programs and products scare the daylights out of me. How they can keep successfully sucking people in, I don't know, but I guess I must know because I have been the victim of those schemes before? Even learning the hard way, at least I've learned :)
Peace
Jo

It is very easy. When they ask you money on sign up, or if they promise you that it is easy to make money, or you could make a lot of money. 99.9% chance that it is a scam. For money doesn't come so easily.

An excellent tip MisterWailor, if you can't try something out there has to be a catch. And we know get rich quick schemes don't work. :)

WOW! I didn't realise how computer illiterate I was until I attempted to set up my first webpage. It's taken me most of a day to just navigate buying a domain and getting it mov

You are learning AND enjoying, carry on like that and you are bound to succeed!

Thank you Mr Peter, one can only hope :)

Congrats and good luck.

Thanks, I wish you good luck as well :)
