Technical trainer, Bible teacher, private pilot, wannabe golfer, world traveler, Navy veteran, working until I croak but having fun while doing it!

I work for Siemens as a technical trainer and spend a great deal of time in airports and hotels. I love the training part of my job but not so much the mechanics of getting to where I need to be.

I write a weekly blog that I publish on Google + and am writing a book about my experiences when I was a full time pastor.

I hope to find a way to make money online to support myself should I be forced to retire sooner than I plan. I also have 15 years of brick and mortar business experience as an entrepreneur from 1979 to 1994 and understand what it takes to succeed at any endeavor. It seems to me that online is the way to go to avoid the overhead and operating expense required to hang a shingle on a real building. It is much more cost effective to hang a virtual shingle if one can make it pay.

So far, it seems to me that knowledge is power to operate a successful online enterprise.

God bless!

Money Goals
Well friends,

Financial goals are wonderful to have and I have already established them. However, my entire focus is is upon finding the perfect niche for my online presence. In all my life experience, this part of the process will drive everything else one does in any enterprise.

All of us have spent some time wishing we were somewhere else, doing something else. Boredom and dissatisfaction can and will lead to depression, poor health and lack of motivation. As we know, lack of motivation means one is stationary and without direction. Stationary objects are inert and innocuous in nature and require some one, or some force, to move them, ie a boss or a desperate situation. Success is extremely rare for inert objects :)

Success comes from motivation, drive and perseverance. Miss any one of these three and it is game over. Therefore, it is vital to find a niche that challenges your creativity and and provides personal satisfaction.

I know that I have wasted far to many years making money, a necessary evil, only to feel that my brief window of time allotted to me on this earth might be filled with regret in the end. No one can change that feeling for me except me.

So, for a short story from a long one, I am personally resolved to find that niche that fulfills a deep need inside to make a positive difference in this world in the lives of others. For me, that defines success. Money may, or may not, come more abundantly by doing what you love, but, in the end, isn't it far better to leave things better than you found them?

All the best,

Charles

Hey and welcome to Wealthy Affiliate. I'm sure that you will find the platform helpful. If there is one thing I would say is to ensure that you take advantage and soak in as much as you can (without being overwhelmed of course)-- in your first few weeks (first 7-days especially.)

Take it in at your learning pace though, you know?
