Google Ranking Tips

Last Update: September 06, 2018

Hello,

Many of you might think what I am going to share with you today to sound crazy, I have never claimed to be a sane man. You can use Google to improve your website ranking, so are you using these Google websites in your blog posts?

I use Google's websites in my post to increase my ranking, I also found this has improved my posts to be indexed quicker. Some affiliate marketers claim this is not true, but I am a witness this has worked for me in only a few months I have seen a dramatic difference in my traffic.

YouTube

My first link on my posts is usually a YouTube video, you see this seems to draw my readers to check out my post to watch the video. Another reason is do you know who owns YouTube, and if you said Google you are right.

Google Shopping

Most of the time you will have products which you don't want to link to an affiliate program, and the reason is you want to limit affiliate links in your posts to get a better ranking. What I do with products I won't be linking to affiliate links or to my store products is link at least one of them to Google Shopping. I really feel this is another good way to rank higher with your posts, but you don't want to go crazy and link more than one or two products in one post to Google Shopping or Google will become wise what you are trying to do.

Google +

The majority of people share their new posts with Facebook before anyone else, but you actually should be sharing your post with Google +. People also spend less time on Google + than Facebook which is a mistake, and you really should share your post on Google + at least once every day. Now some people make the mistake of going crazy posting on Google +, but when you post more than once or twice per day you are going to stick out to Google as trying to buffalo them into giving your post a higher ranking.

You do need to find the right balance with spending time on all your social media websites, but depending on your niche and followers some of your social media websites are improving your ranking more than others. You will need to do some trial and error plus keep a record of which social media websites are the most productive for you, but you still want to stay active on all your social media websites.

Google Images

I find it is difficult with some of my posts to find the images I wish to use in some of my posts on Google Images, but do you really think Google does not know where you are getting the images you are using in your posts? I always use at least one image from Google in every post, I really believe just using one of each of these Google websites in your post will improve your ranking when you do it regularly.

Google Alerts

I share my Google Alerts on all my social media websites as often as I can, but if you check the post url you will see Google Alerts is right there in the url. What I do is sign up for alerts within my niche and interests of my readers on my social media websites, I then share only the most interesting alerts and only a few of them each day on any social media website. Google is no fool and will know if you go crazy posting your alerts what you are up too, so use common sense and spread these Google websites in your posts and on your social media to get Google's attention in the right way.

Content Marketing

Search engines are going to rank the posts with the most information which is useful to their searchers, so the more external links you have which is providing your readers with helpful information are the posts which is going to rank the highest. You still will need to do your research for the best keywords as well, but many people underestimate the power of using Google's own websites to improve their ranking.

All your likes-shares and comments on Mentoring With Jeff is much appreciated, and don't forget if you leave a comment I will leave a comment on your website plus share your website on my social media websites if you have soical media buttons.

This is some interesting info. I actually read an interesting article a few days ago regarding Google skewing search results for travel in their favor. I need to remember to post to G+ more often. I do limit it to once a day, but I don't always remember to do it every day.

I will say I do have concerns about Google Photos, as how can you be sure you are using photos that are 100% royalty free? If you have a tip for that, beyond just doing a generic image search, I would be interested in hearing it.

Thanks for sharing!

Interesting post. I have started to embed youtube videos and post to Google+. I hadn't thought about the Google images and for some reason I can't find much about my niche on Google Alerts. Maybe I need to check it out again.

Thank you for sharing this information.

I have just such a page that I don't want to link to an affiliate but Google shopping would be appropriate! I never thought of that!

I understood that using Google images was a big no-no.

So is Creative Commons safe, even if we choose the Google provider?

From what I was reading, it seems that even if you use the photo as intentional knowing or not knowing, legal consequences can still follow.

But that is an opinion of mine, one would have to ask someone who specializes in this area.

Hello
Google has images which are free to use, you just have to be careful which images you use. If you check there are images you can and can't use on Google, but I prefer other free images more so I only use one image from Google most of the time.

You must only use Google images which are free to use, you can find which images this is in the Google tools on Google images. You will find everyone uses the images on Google which are free to use, but you have to check before just using any image

You do not have to use Google images, everyone has their own opinion on this. Google provides some free images you can use, and you must remember everything you read on the internet is not always true but opinionated.

There are images on Google dedication for use for commercial use, but you have to check which ones to use. You don't have to use Google images you can use images from other sites, I just use one image from Google to help my ranking with Google. You can be sure if Google had a problem with you using their images they would send you an email, in the past they have sent me emails for posting affiliate links on Google + and even banned me and I am using Google images on Google with no complaints from Google.

If you are worried use images from another source, but use the other Google sites in your posts

Hi Jeff

Quite true, which is why I use images that I have created or taken.

By doing this it 'always' keeps my content original and unique!

Have a great day!

I guess that's the best and safest way, but not always the most convenient! ;-]

If you use the other Google sites you can use other images in your posts that is just an option to increase your ranking it is not something you must do...........yes you have to take a little time checking by clicking on tools and then on usage rights for the free images to use
