Letting go of your attachment to the outcome:

ANOTHER HELPFUL POST:

Hello WA community. Today I wanted to talk about letting go of the attachment to outcomes. This idea is rooted deeply in psychology. If you have certain goals, and you put those goals on a pedastal, you create cognitive dissonance in your mind. Cognitive dissonance is the result of holding conflicting beliefs, vlaues, or attitudes in the mind.

This relates back to my previous post about changing beliefs. If you believe in a goal that you have, but your attitude and thoughts dont' allign with that belief, you create resistance. The mind doesn't believe the goal is achievable. When you put a goal on a pedestal, and make it super important to reach that goal what you are really doing is affirming to yourself that you HAVE NOT reached the goal yet.

The mindset of WANTING something is completely different from the mindset of HAVING something. The secret to overcoming this is to change your thought pattern, see yourself as having already achieved said goal. The mind cannot tell the difference between what we visualize and think, and what is real. That's why you have emotional reactions to your dreams. The brain doesn't know the difference. It believes that those things are really happening even though it's just an imaginary world inside of our own subconscious mind. This is a powerful tool you can use to your ADVANTAGE when trying to achieve something extaordinary.

Visualizing the goal as "already achieved" takes the goal off of the pedestal. Then you are able to detach from the outcome because you are no longer approaching it from the mindset of WANTING to achieve it. Now that you HAVE achieved it in your mind, let go of the attachment to the outcome. Be happy regardless of how long it takes for your goal to manifest in physical reality. Be okay if you only make $8,000/month. Be okay if you only make $800, or even $8 this month. LET IT GO. You are good either way. Some goals take time to achieve. I promise if you are persistent, and take decisive, conscious action, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Now you need to get clear on the HOW, and the WHY this goal was improtant to you in the first place.

Here's an example:

Let's say you want to make $10,000/month. That's your goal. In order to achieve this, you have to first believe it is possible. Then you must change your perspective from WANTING it, to HAVING it. Visualize in your mind every day what it would be like if you were making that money every month. How did you achieve this goal, what are your daily routines and rituals, what do you spend the money on. Go through the entire scenario as if it already happend. Change your language every day to a thought pattern of having already achieved this goal.

It's easy to just say, "I want to make $10,000 every month." That's the first step. But WHY is that your goal? Are you clear on what makes that amount of money so important to you? Do you know what that much money will do for you in your life? Do you have clear, concise goals to achieving this? Let's break it down..

$10,000/month = $333/Day broken down by a 30 day month. This is how much you have to make every day for 30 days to make $10,000 in a month (roughly). How many hours are you working on this goal? What product are you selling? What is your comission per sale?

Let's say you make $15 every time you sell a product you're promoting. That means in order to make $333/day you would have to sell roughly 22 products a day. Then you need to get clear on how you are going to sell those 22 products. Or you can sell a higher yielding product that makes you $100 every time you sell it. Then you only need to sell about 3 products a day to reach your goal. So how much traffic do you need to your website to sell the amount of products you have to sell in a day?

Breaking your goals down into small achievable daily goals and understanding the mathematics behind it allows you to take decicive action towards reaching your goal. If you're serious about making money online, you need to get clear on your goals. Get really specific, break it down so you know what you need to do to achieve them. If you aren't putting in this kind of work, you probably aren't going to achieve your goals. Then you have to look inward and figure out WHY you aren't putting work in? I can pretty much guaruntee it's a negative belief in yourself, or in money, etc.

Get clear on your big goal or vision, the outcome that you have already achieved in your mind. Break it down into small, achievable daily goals, and focus on taking conscious decisive action every day. Do the action in your mind via visualization, and then do it in physical reality. Do it every day. And if you persist, and change your mindset and your negative beliefs, you can do literally ANYTHING.

Trust the process, become a creator, invest in yourself, and most importantly TAKE ACTION!

Thanks for listening to me ramble, now let's make some money!

Hello, again Chris! Okay, gotta add another comment here. Do whatever you can and take it as far as you can to the best of your ability without expectation or attachment to the outcome. Trust that whatever you need to support you on your journey will be there when you need it. Recognize abundance as the ability to do what you need to do when you need to do it. That is the complete kit. Trust that synchronicity will bring you whatever you need, when you need it, and do what you need to do, and repeat.
Did that even make sense? Godspeed to your success! Rupert.

Rupert, I'm glad the post inspired the German you didn't know was in there! It looks like we have very similar outlooks on life, I'm finding more and more like minded people the more I put myself out there. I appreciate your words of encouragement and wish you all the best in your own endeavors! You comment makes PERFECT sense to me, thanks!

Hello Chris!

Guten Tag! Du sagst die Wahrheit. translation: Good day! You speak the truth!

It just felt like coming out in German. The funny thing is I don't know German. Grandparents on both sides of my family immigrated from Germany.
I spent 30 years in Japan and speak Japanese and English and do not know a lick of German. Your post brought out the German in me I did not know I had!

Rupert.

Mindset is certainly key, Chris. I am happy with anything that I make on a daily basis--there is always room for more improvement, but with the state of the world right now, I am happy to hold my own! Excellent post and thanks for sharing!

Jeff
